Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back

I want Jonathan Groff around all the time.

And Cory Montieth around none of it. :o

Jesse is a POS, but Finn has been taking extra d-bag pills lately.

And it's already been confirmed that the death is a female character. My money is on Sue's sister.

I just wanted a real fight instead of another pushing match. Would have gotten it to if it weren't for that meddling Sue :cmad: ;)

Would Kurt wearing a kilt really have been as big a deal as Burt made out? I know 4 guys who wore kilts to my school's prom and as far as I'm aware no-one so much as batted an eyelid.

I kind of agreed with Burt and Blaine about Kurt's kilt/suit. I mean in the end, these are still teenagers in Ohio. Burt was just concerned for Kurt and his safety.

I was just laughing at how many times they could push each other. Santana/Quinn was more violent than that.

That's usually clear evidence that neither guy can fight his way out of a wet paper bag: too much shoving and verbal promises to kill the other guy. Real tough guys would start fighting for real after the first push.

It's an American thing. Everything under the sun in America comes off as "too gay," so I guess Burt had a right to be concerned. In Canada a kilt wouldn't be a big deal either.

I'd invite anybody to go over to Glasgow and call a guy in a kilt a homo and see what happens.

I did kind of love how Finn went in for the punch and Jesse just instinctively dodged it. The look on Jesse's face afterward was basically saying, "Did I really just do that? Damn I'm smooth!"

Did anyone else kind of love the Rachel/Jesse/Mercedes/Sam group? I dont know why, I just thought it was great...

you also live in the UK.... also, if a group of straight boys do it to be funny, that's one thing, but for 1 gay boy to do it, seriously... its another.

I don't know how many times I shouted "God dammit, Finn!" at the screen during this episode. :cmad:

When Kurt was voted Prom Queen, my first reaction was "Awww, that's effed up." Then when Kurt & Dave stepped out on the dance floor and "Dancing Queen" started playing, I nearly fell out of my chair from pure laughter.

Boy, Artie does not take breakups well.

Well, at least we know Dave genuinely feels sorry for what he did to Kurt. Like I said a couple episodes back, Santana's fury yields results.

I see the school once again loves the glee club. Looking forward to the next episode when everybody reacts with confusion and disinterest when somebody sings during lunch.

I'd invite anybody to go over to Glasgow and call a guy in a kilt a homo and see what happens.

You'd get a kiss, of course. A Glasgow kiss.

That entire plotline was perfect, IMO. From the slowly dawning comprehension and hurt on everyone's face, to Colfer's Emmy-worthy acting in the hallway with Blaine, to he and Blaine both showing what brave people they are, Kurt going defiantly back in and accepting his crown, and Blaine taking Dave's place and dancing with him in front of everyone, especially considering Blaine's own history with school dances.

I thought they were the best couple on the show in this episode.

Anybody else notice the lack of Will this week?

Kurt & Baine were definitely the best couple in this episode. Puck and Lauren are the funnest couple overall and Mike & Tina are the most stable (if not ungodly boring), but Kurt & Blaine stole the spotlight in this one.

I think it was the episode where you really felt that they were willing to step up and be there for each other.

So just watched the episode, I loved it. All the music, all the acting, everything. Definitely one of this season's stronger episodes.

I gotta say though, who hit Jesse with the ugly stick. His face kept making me gag. He used to be so cute, what happened?

Finn just needs to go die, he was *****ey for no reason. I understand he's supposed to be a teenager in the show and all, but come on.

And I don't know, I'm kinda liking the Samcedes.

I guess because the focus of the episode was the kids and not the adults.
And... I certainly didn't miss him. If Morrison wants to still be in the show, but focus on promoting his music career as well, maybe he should be demoted to a series regular from main character.

I love how even the no-name background characters on this show are just ridiculously inconsistent...

"Haha look at the sweet prank we just played on Hummel. That'll teach him to be gay in our school... oh look, he's rising above it all. With a topical royal wedding reference, nonetheless! *claps* You just cant help but love the guy! .......... Wait, weren't we just trying to humiliate him?"

What puzzles me even more is that nobody laughed at his expense when he won. Even the kids at Carrie's prom laughed hysterically shortly before getting killed.

I wonder how many people thought "I'll vote for the queen as Queen as a gag. It's not like he'll win." And then when he won, everyone was just sorta shocked into silence.
