I am miffed for the BP and BD lack of noms, but it was announced a while ago that it missed the opportunity for BFL by like a month. Factor in that each country only gets one nominee. Though Im sure it would have won BFL if had been eligible.

I think it goes without saying that GMO was the surprise hit out of left field for most movie critics. Here's hoping if we get a Minus 2 or Toho's next Goji film it will be one more people and critics radar's.

No way does GMO top The Zone of Interest among Academy voters for International film even if nominated. Considering that Perfect Days got a nomination, it's hard to say Japan made a mistake. Especially as they had to make their choice in advance of GMO's release and reception.

France's decision to nominate The Taste of Things over Anatomy of a Fall is up for endless second guessing.

Wasn't able to see this while it was in theaters here (thanks again, Covid) so I'm just waiting now until it hits digital, but from what I'm hearing, Minus One took a lot of cues from Jaws and Jurassic Park so I imagine getting to chat with Spielberg was a godsend to Takashi Yamazaki. Really happy for him.

It might be even longer, I've heard that they take their sweet time before putting films on DVD/BlueRay

For the record...Shin Kamen Rider, which was released March 2023 still hasn't got any Bluray and DVD releases yet, either.
So, I also definitely wouldn't count Godzilla -1 discs to get a release date anytime soon.

Although yeah the best bet is around the summer time.

Well, Toho must hear all of our wishes and releases it relatively fast..haha

4K Ultimate Edition 4 Disc will be ¥12,100 yen
Bluray Ultimate Edition 4 Disc will be ¥9,900 yen
Bluray Special Edition 2 Disc will be ¥6,050 yen
DVD Special Edition 3 Disc will be ¥4,950 yen

And the standard Bluray and DVD (each 1 Disc) will be ¥4,400 yen for BD and ¥3,300 for DVD

However, I think the Toho release here wont be having an English subtitle...and I dont know if there were any Region Lock, but for anyone who can't wait for the US release, you can order it on Amazon Japan or Rakuten, they provide international shipping as far as I know
