The fact that Indiewire likes the movie is surprising enough. They're ususally really negative with MCU movies ..and blockbusters in general

:wow: Must.....not.....change......mind.....need.....con...fir....mation....on....Adam....Warlock...1st
....must....hold....on....for....the.....fate.....of......uni....verse!!

Where is the Adam Warlock thing coming from? Also, suddenly a lot of random cosmic Marvel fans. :funny:

He's a part of the Guardians in the comics, and its pretty appaernt he isn't a factor in this movie. He can easily be introduced later.

Is Adam Warlock like Nova or something?

Adam Warlock has always been a major player in cosmic Marvel events. He was featured prominently in Starlin's old stuff, and was one of the main characters in Infinity Gauntlet, second only to Thanos in focus. Same goes for its disappointing sequels Infinity War and Infinity Crusade. In modern times, he came back up in Annihilation: Conquest and joined the Guardians of the Galaxy shortly after.

Also he just don't give a **** regarding stopping whatever villain he's tasked to stop. He's a good guy but eerily laser focused.

Ok apart from Annihilation and the DnA run on GOTGmcan somebody give me the list of crucial comics that will educate my mind about the Cosmic side of Marvel. I'm tired of seeing you guys discuss things and I can't even chip in because I know nothing and I just end up asking more questions (which could annoy some users). So please, help would be very much appreciated.

He's an artificial human, that's all I'll give you. The rest has to be read to really grasp it.

All I know is that cocoon is sitting in Tivan's collection in the movie. You have to think we're getting Warlock, more than likely in the credits.

Well things just got interesting because something happens [BLACKOUT]with the inifinty gem in the Collectors lair that can be expanded upon on sequels.:oldrazz:[/BLACKOUT]

I joke, I joke. Damn that's a lot! I'll try and read it all. Thanks Darth.:woot:
Honestly, GotG, Nova, and the Thanos books (Thanos and Imperative) are the essentials. That is all you really need to read. With the two Annihilations, just read the main series.

Classic Fantastic Four
Starlin's run on Silver Surfer
The Thanos Quest
Infinity Gauntlet (also Infinity War and Crusade but they're not very good)
The End

That, plus the chart Darth posted, is basically the bulk of cosmic Marvel. It may seem like a lot, but trust me, it's worth getting into this part of the universe.

So, It's looking like about 9-10 fresh reviews on rotten tomatoes from tweets, and one negative from a guy at variety.

Fresh
Drew Mcweeny-Hitflix
Oliver Lyttleton-Playlist
Robbie Collin-Daily Telegraph
Devin Faraci-Badass Digest
Amon Warman-HeyUGuys
Dan Jolin-Empire Magazine
Steven Weintraub-Collider
William Bibbiani-CraveOnline
Jim Vejvoda-Ign
Eric Eisenberg-CinemaBlend

Negative
Variety Magazine

A good start!! Tomorrow will be fun.

Is Adam Warlock like Nova or something?
Adam Warlok created a Counter Earth during the Mar-Vell era. BOTH Mar-Vell and Adam were Thanos' Nemesis'. (by the way, Counter Earth was home to the Squadron Supreme basically Marvel's JLA)

EDIT: there was a cocoon in the Collectors museum at the end of Thor Dark World

THIS is what makes Adam different. He gets reborn and arises when there's Cosmic level trouble

I think Infinity Gauntlet, Annihilation Conquest, the DnA Guardians run and Thanos Imperative are the most important ones to read.

Just got out of my screening. Tons of fun. The crowd really got into all the humorous parts and seemed to be enjoying it. Visuals are great and the movie felt like it was over too soon. Mainly because I wanted more! But the pacing and length was perfect. Hopefully it booms when finally released wide.
