Yea the humour at the end of Thor 2 didn't undercut the tension... because there was no tension due to the humour.

I'll be glad when we get a Thor film where he isn't bogged down on Midgard.

Maybe if Portman decides not to renew her contract, and Thor is then written to go back to Asgard and face Ragnorak. One can dream...

Agreed. Thor shouldn't be on Earth at all unless it's his origin story, or he's with the Avengers. His solo movies should be completely cosmic, exploring the Nine Realms with all their different settings and characters.

UGHHHHHH! I'm not seeing it until Sunday, maybe.

Screw all of you who will see it before me! :cmad: ;)

7 pm IMAX showing on Thursday for me. I actually haven't been this excited for an MCU movie since The Avengers, partly because we haven't really seen anything like this before and also because of the rave reviews it's getting. I'm also happy the credits scene(s) hasn't been revealed, as I usually always end up accidentally spoiling those for myself.

Haven't been this excited for a marvel movie since Cap 2. :p

I'm still trying to figure out how to go see this movie, but my wife has to look after the kids for that to happen. I wanted to take the kids to see GOTG, but they may be a bit too small, although they seemed to be very excited when I shown them the trailers.

Interesting....

While James Gunn was responsible for the majority of the script, original writer Nicole Perlman said she came up with the idea of Peter Quill listening to 70's music with a walkman.

Well Perlman is still credited as screenwriter for the film, and it was apparently her script that got everyone on board to get this film on the fast track to get made.

There are different levels of re-writes.

What age do you think is too young for GotG?

Is there sexual content and foul language?

I wish I could see this in IMAX but I would have to go all the way to Tampa at the MOSI since that is the only real IMAX near me. They have a theater that claims to be IMAX in St. Pete but I think they just use the format or something since the screen is nowhere near the size of real IMAX. Maybe I'll make the venture over there next weekend or something. I'd def do it if I had a car

I work until midnight during the week so I can't catch it Thursday :csad: I am off Friday but I don't wanna wait until a later showing, so I might actually go to a 10:30 am showing haha. There's an 8 am one but no ****ing way will I be awake in time for that.

Also Vile or TeeKay or anyone who has seen it, in spoiler tags can you please describe the
Ronan death scene

Bless you concerned parents. My mom took me to see Last of the Mohicans when I was 6. People were scalped and burned alive in that.

...I was just grossed out by the people kissing. :oldrazz:

As for GotG, I'm seeing a 7pm Thursday show with friends, then a 1pm Friday show with another friend, then a 4pm Saturday show with my mom. I think it'll be a good weekend.

My dad took me and my younger siblings to see Blade when I was 6.

It wasn't tight. Kept getting harassed by this old woman behind us. It prompted my dad to stop booking seats in front of people.

I'm quite pleased, I'm seeing this film tomorrow, and I've made it this far without being hit by any major spoilers!

Really looking forward to this. I believe it might just have sneaked up on me and become the most hyped I've been to see a film in the cinema since The Dark Knight in 2008.

Just over 24 hours... Can't wait

Seems so long ago that we got the first concept art
