I thought about watching this tonight or tomorrow night, but I'm waiting until Sunday afternoon to see this with my sister.

I have to admit, though (and I realize I might be the only person in the world who thinks this), but I'm concerned that the music might ruin the experience for me. Especially if its blasting out loud and often from the theater sound system, as I suspect it will be. I'm really not a huge fan of pop/rock music in general (regardless of the decade), much less used as soundtracks. I tend to find it annoying and distracting. I've listened to the "Awesome Mix" on youtube at least 2 or 3 times now, just so I won't be hearing it for the first time in the theater (which would be even more distracting) and I've heard nothing there I particularly care for.

Still looking forward to watching the movie, though!

Similar thing happened to me on opening night of TDK, the screen broke down 3 times, they had to give everyone a refund at I ended up going to see it later the same night at another cinema.

Going to finally see this tomorrow (though have never been on the GOTG boards, dont kill me) but just wanted to ask for some reason I'm really hoping that the soundtrack is awesome. Soooo is it ?

Less than an hour for me! I feel like i did when I was a little Kidd on Christmas morning everytime we get a new MCU movie. Especially for this one! Pratt is one of the most awesome guys in Hollywood and I'm glad he is about to be rocketed into the A-list stratosphere, this will lead to some truly awesome roles for him in the future. Also can't wait to see him and RDJ trading quips in A3!!!

dancing scene with Quill distracting Ronan seem silly? Heck, did that entire final stand against Ronan seem silly?

It's little things like this that I just cringe so hard at (and REALLY don't want to with this film)... I'm seeing it tomorrow.

The part where Quill was distracting Ronan did look silly, but the point of the scene was the silliness, as Quill's hail mary hinged on completely stumping Ronan by doing something so completely bizarre. And those who weren't in on the plan actually acknowledged that Quill had perhaps lost his mind in an act of desperation, so it wasn't like it was just handwaved or anything.

As for the last stand, it was alright to me. It reminded me of the climax of the second Yu Yu Hakusho movie, when the main foursome also banded together to harness the orb-like MacGuffin's power against the Big Bad. Or when the League saved Flash from the Speed Force in JLU.

Me too. Loved every second. My showing was packed (a really big IMAX theater too), so I hope that's a sign of its box office prospects this weekend. I'll be doing my part seeing it 2 more times before the weekend's out. t:
