Hardly a new idea, though. I've been saying it for a year. I think there's more evidence for the Masters of Evil being the main villains of Avengers 2 than Thanos.

We haven't even seen the first film in Phase 2 yet so how is there more evidence that the main villains will the MoE, especially when Feige has specifically talked about Thanos for GotG and A2. I'm not saying it's not possible MoE will be the villains I'm just curious where this evidence comes from.

let me ask you this, what made you choose carrey? if you say that kick-ass movie trailer, i'll stop right now, i won't waste my time. for me i can't get on board for his voice as rocket. no matter what voice he does you can still tell it's him. i'd rather they go for a distinct voice and not carrey doing a weird voice trying to be distinct. there is a difference.

I honestly don't know what made me like Carrey the best, I saw it suggested before that Kick Ass trailer came out and thought, "yeah I could see Carrey doing a decent job." Then the trailer came out and his voice in that was similar to what I could picture Rocket Raccoon sounding like, in my head at least. It's also a bit of personal bias since I enjoy him in mostly everything he's done that I've seen, both silly and serious roles. I don't know exactly which type of voice Carrey would bring to the table, since he seems to have so many different ranges, but I think he could find the perfect one.

Each different person that gets suggested for the role makes me think of an essentially different Rocket Raccoon a little bit. I think of someone like Jason Statham and I imagine a straight to the punch, action filled, British-y type, no nonsense role, and with Carrey I picture a more laid back with quick quips of humor, but still ready to fight at any moment role.

No matter who gets the role it doesn't make or break anything for me. I'm really most curious to see who will be cast as Thanos as it will be a very important role in the coming years haha.

i agree it doesn't make or break it for me either, just a preference. i'm more excited to see the galaxy.

yeah it really seems like it's going to be a beautifully visual movie. I mean who doesn't think space is super majestic and beautifully scary haha

Every time the word "dimension" is abused like that in sci-fi, Euclid kills a kitten. Sigh... I'll tell my inner mathematician to shut-up now.

The way I can see this playing out is Thanos is the avatar of death, and Magus is the avatar of life. Yondu is one of the last survivors from a future alternate reality where life has won, and he recruits Quill & friends to help restore balance.

i know it's been posted, but it was said so much in the article i thought it bares repeating here, lol.

so maybe the original guardians dimension is being destroyed, no hope but to come to the past to prevent this dimension from doing the same.
