Eh, I dunno how true that is. Everybody made a big deal out of Iron Man joining the team in the comics, so somebody made up a completely fictitious post-credit scene for IM3 that was supposed to involve Tony flying off into space to track down an SOS from Peter Quill, and that turned out to be a bunch of fanboy hokum. Angela could be, too.

Tony in Space was another El Maybe fantasy. Mister Full-of-**** appears to have gone silent since Marvel started punking him and Feige issued his fatwa against LR.

I hope this Angela nonsense is as fake as LR's scoops. Why Angela and not Nebula, who would make far more sense?

There's a *lot* of characters that would make far more sense than what the rumormill is currently choking up. That's why I'm still entirely skeptical of every "scoop" that was announced after the Zoe Saldana confirmation, and will wait until there's an official cast list.

I don't get the point of announcing you have a scoop and then sitting on it for 2 weeks. It essentially means its made up because any real scooper would be too afraid of someone else getting that scoop and releasing it before he does. Look at the Planet Hulk stuff.

Agreed. I imagine it's Marvel's big SDCC surprise, or one of them at least, and as Marc Graser (Variety) already tweeted about spoiling a "certain studio's" big SDCC surprise I woulda thought he'd have jumped straight on it.

Well yeah, I know that. Its why nobody should pay any attention to that stuff. Its the scoops he posts that have come out of nowhere that have been reliable, not the **** he teases for 2 weeks.

MTV has an article about the Angela thing and they mentioned the newspaper's track record when it comes to these things is not good.

Free advertising is what they are getting (or so i hope)

i hope this year's scoop is the addition of a few original guardians to the cast...but i guess with Yondu being the villain thats unlikely...unless maybe if they are also villains.

i still think the coolest thing to see on screen would be the present day guardians and the future guardians fighting it out.

If the Angela rumor proves to be true (I'd say less than 1% chance of that being likely), then it would be significant for a few reasons. One, it's Neil Gaiman. Then again, Gaiman's material hasn't translated well to the big screen at all. Two, it would represent an actual crossover between comic-book universes, meaning we could all start speculating on when we could see Hellboy, Batman or Sin City joining the MCU. Three, it would mean half-nekkid women, meaning half-nekkid Gamora would be a lot more likely now. And four, it would mean "Heaven" exists in the MCU, since Angela is a bounty hunter for The Big Guy Upstairs. Imagine how well *that* will go over with the religious right.

And clearly the most important thing about this, is the hope that it will leave Gamora half-nekkid on screen.

For El Maybe "undebunkable" probably means something that can't be confirmed for years, which gives him an out. He can always claim that Marvel's plans changed when it proves untrue, or hope that everyone forgets he even posted the rumor in the first place.
