I'm guessing GDT is going to jump right into this as soon as he completes The Strain pilot.

Yeah, GDT is like Joe Carnahan in that way, whereas other directors normally play it close to the vest (Pun intended).

Jessica Chastain talking about the Crimson Peak script making Tom Hiddleston cry.

La Chastain posted these pics:

Woohooo 80,000!!!!!! I love you all and am so happy to read your comments. Here's a little sneak peak for you. When I was in Toronto I did a body cast for Crimson Peak which begins filming in Feb. It was a long process, but with the team at DDT, I had a blast. I cant wait to work with my friends; Guillermo Del Toro, Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska. Prepare to be scared.......xxjes

New quote from GDT.

Crimson Peak is a much, much, much smaller movie, completely character-driven. It's an adult movie, an R-rated movie, pretty adult. Shockingly different from anything I've done in the English language. Normally, when I go to do a movie in America for the spectacle and younger audience, for Blade or whatever. This movie's tone is scary and it's the first time I get to do a movie more akin to what I do in the Spanish movies

Yes please.

Also according to Shock Till You Drop they're aiming for an April 2015 release.

Glad to see its coming out in October. The earlier release date of April (and the odd number of spring horror films in recent years) seemed kind of odd.

Id rather have had this in April. Halloween doesnt make a movie any creepier really. The movie either works or it doesnt so Id rather have had it sooner, but if they use the extra time to polish the film thats good.

The time period doesn't make it creepier, but many people like watching horror films in October. I love going to revival screenings of Nightmare on Elmstreet and such but itts nice to have something new.

Plus another 6 months to make and market the film can't hurt. It is likely to be an R rated film so it can definitely use anything it can get.

Actor Jim Beaver posted a pic from the set. I didn't know this had started filming.

I like how the crew member in the back is wearing a Pacific Rim hoodie.
