Does David have a key to the apartment? Maybe he wasn't on the rooftop but hiding in the closet? even more creepy dun dun dun
but also with the thanks for the entertainment, maybe he was referring to you coming out and talking with the doorman and not you two having sex.

im thinking its time to change the locks LS

Wow...this story sounds like a soap. But real.

LS...avoid David. Chill with Jason at his place and make sure David ain't following you.

I had a stalkerish ex-bf. Me and the guy dated for a week, he turned out to be really weird and I broke up with him. Thanks god I was in the process of moving when we dated, or else I would have had to deal with the same things you did probably.
He saw me and my friend walking down the street one day. He created a fake facebook profile, because I had blocked him. He would IM me saying "Matt?" over and over and over again. He thought my friend was my BF, then started insulting me and him.
He's tried friending me again, somehow he became unblocked.
The day I came back from Thanksgiving break, I was on the main road in my college's town, and noticed he was in the car behind me.
I couldn't help but sit there and think "OH ****! What if he recognizes my car or somehow recognizes the back of my head?!" When the light turned green, I speed off.

See Lightning, appreciate the simplicity. Would have nipped this ******** by the bud.

I think you really need to talk to the police about David, he seems to have gone off the deep end. With the texts and now keying your car, it has to be him, there's no coincidence that both your and Jason tires were flattened. Obviously if you can keep Jason's name out of it, but David's obviously got a screw lose.

I think this is the most depressing aspect of all of this. You eat, sleep, drink and even share the common cold with the same man for over a decade and you think you know him well. And then he just goes off and does...stuff like this. I know that the car accident, the death of his sister and his own coma/injuries have had a major impact on Dave but I never would've thought he'd turn on me like this. It's the most bitter situation I've ever faced.

To be honest with all of you, this whole situation has had me out of sorts physically. I can't sleep and when I do finally get some shut-eye it's nothing but nightmares. I can't keep anything down and I have no appetite. It's like I'm literally sick to my stomach.

can jason get your house swept for camera or bugs, considering he's a cop? i'd look into it

edit: also, i'd file a complaint against the doorman. it's their job to notice who is coming in and out of the building to ensure the safety of the inhabitants and their property. he clearly did not do this.

I agree with this. I will issue a complaint to management. As far as camera and bug-installation, I suppose Jason could do that. I'll have to ask him about it.

Ewww. That is incredibly scary!!!! I hope that you get some justice....David needs to pay, legally for pulling this immature/creepy ****

Hmph. David thinks he is the law. :whatever: He's a very vindictive person--especially in the courtroom and he's been known to do some dirt in the justice system. Don't get me wrong: he's good--extremely good and effective and that's why he makes so much $$$--he's among the best attorneys out there. As far as I know, he's very, very powerful/influential in the circles he runs with and to be frank, I think he believes he's above the law sometimes.

It's ironic: during my 15 Minutes Hype Session I said I didn't think I had a nemesis. Perhaps I was wrong. :csad:

this is true. I'm thinking it's time to stay at jason's for awhile

I can't change the locks with David as co-owner of the crib. I could get in serious trouble...and David would use every legal angle against me if I did. Staying at Jason's apartment is an option...although I'm not sure Jason is ready for a live-in boyfriend just yet. He has his own sexual orientation issues to work out and I'm not trying to encroach on him at this time.

If push comes to shove, I'll just either rent another apartment, or stay in a hotel long-term. It'd be expensive but...whatever.

Good point. I didn't think of that angle. He could very well have been watching me from the street when I was talking with the doorman since the lobby front doors are all glass. That also would have afforded him the opportunity to see Jason. However, David's text message came while Jason and I were probably still having sex upstairs. It coooould just be a coincidence but...

EDIT: On second thought, I think he was spying through our bedroom window. I mean, how would he know that Jason has a nice ass? When he came down to the lobby he was wearing sweat pants, so I guess one could determine some things but...that's awfully graphic to send someone in a text in my opinion.

In answer to your question, yes, David does have a key to the loft.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Yeah, its definitely David imo (speaking as a trained investigator).
I seriously seriously doubt that he watched from another room or rooftop. He sent that text to f with you

I certainly hope you're right. I've had stalkers a number of times in my life--even on the internet, but this is the first time when it's hit this close to my literal home.

You are obsessed with pryometrics Dox. You should get that checked out. lol

I just see this ending badly just where it began -- a bathroom.

Morbid much? I don't want to die in a bathroom...:csad:

Wow, your ex sounds like a total *****ebag loser. He needs to get a life & move on.

Wow, your ex sounds like a total *****ebag loser. He needs to get a life & move on.

I can appreciate how you might come to that conclusion after reading what I've typed here. But trust me, he wasn't always this way. The man I've known is a good man...I wouldn't spend 11 years with a *****ebag loser...at least, not a total one. It's like Revenge Of The Sith...the guy I knew is dead and something else has gotten a hold of his body. :csad:

You should set up a contingency plan right now. How to deal with all the hoops you need to jump through to cut David out. Start combing through for apartments you can rent. Deal with moving your stuff - possibly move a few stuff to Jason's place temporarily. Get an alternate phone number. Anything.

So when you need to execute, you can do it in a cold and calculating efficiency.

While I don't like chalking this up to the accident, maybe it caused more damage than anyone thought.

I pretty much lived this for 3 or 4 months about 5.5 years ago. I was the "Jason" of the scenario though. The ex's ex used to break into her place and do all sorts of creepy crap. He once stole all her panties and all her left shoes(she had to spend the night at my house that night). I was 19 at the time and both my ex and her stalker were 25 so I def didn't handle the situation like you probably will; not quite mature enough and all that. It's definitely a scary thing. I used to pace around her apartment while she slept just waiting for this dude to show up. He messed with car too; that must be a common stalker-ex move. I remember one night he came to the restaurant where my ex and I both worked at one night just to harass her. I was a line cook and I remember just standing in the back clutching this 12in knife, staring at him pester my ex. People had to take me out back because I was just looking for an excuse to leap over the counter and hurt this dude(teenage Spoons was an angry boy :o). Fast forward to the end of the night and my ex got mad at ME for being so upset. Good thing I didn't have the knife anymore :cmad: j/k

In the end, a police officer got a hold of him and roughed him up a bit and he left her alone. Our break-up was weird and kinda F'd up but I'm pretty sure my ex either ended up dating the cop that handled her problem or went back to her ex(who I suspect she was cheating on me with anyway) after me.

I with you luck though man. Sorry to say, but it's gonna be a while before you're comfortable getting a good night's sleep. Especially since you and David have access to a lot of the same places/things. Best to let the police do their thing and change those locks A.S.A.P. See if you can bribe your doorman into doing his daggum job until this is all over too :whatever:

LS pretty much needs his own sub forum

But in all honesty, if it's an actual stalker, like, has your attic turned into his spy-zone for you like, drilling holes into all of the ceilings of your rooms (bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, living room) so he or she can look down onto you, or wild **** like that. I'd be terriyed. If it's just someone following you and calling you in the middle of the night and not saying anything.

Then well, looks like all that body training went to waste.

Oh god... this is going to turn into a slasher film, isn't it. Some creepy guy is living in the attic, waiting for the day he is discovered.

Then Nick Stokes and Warrick Brown go to investigate and Nick gets thrown out of a window!

I LOVE CSI!!! :awesome:

Damn Lightning, I'm really sorry to here about all this. things seemed like they were going better for you. :csad:

I've got a story about a crazy ex myself. My girlfriend and I originally broke up for 5 months. Lets call her girl A. During these five months a I dated a second girl. Girl B. So, after 5 months of B being a complete b**** to me, ordering me around and absically using me, I had had enough. I broke up with her, and ended up working things out with girl A. girl A and I also had a child together, but due to things and our rbeak up, she elft for a while. So this was also a chance to make things right and get back into our childs life. Well, Girl B wouldn't let the rbeak up go. For weeks she texted me crazy things, had her cousins call my girl A, prentending to be random girls I'd messed around with while dating her, and onc eeven followed me home in her friend's car. I've never figured out why she followed me, as nothing ever happened, and I didn't here from her much after. Girl A got really pissed for a long time because she thought I may have cheated on her, but I honestly didn't, and eventually got her to believe me. Long story short, eventually the texts for girl B slowed, and she onyl texted me or called once or twice after a couple months. Nearly a year later, she called me up, very drunk on New Years to tell me how she cheated on me with two guys, and just kept me around for a ride to places. Was her drunk rant true? Don't know, don't care.

Edit: Also, she keyed my car too, but it was while I was at work.
