The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two-Face Casting Thread

Joaquin Phoenix would be excellent as Harvey Dent. Phoenix is certainly making a name for himself with his recent movie "Walk The Line."

I'm gonna go against the grain here, it's a bit out there, and I don't think it's been suggested but the man I'm about to suggest is really talented and he's proven more than once he can play intense characters.

The man's name is Dylan Walsh, fans of Nip/Tuck will know him as Doctor Sean Macnamara. This man is a brilliant actor, he provides the majority of the intense scenes from Nip/Tuck because he's very placid but when he reveals his emotions he actually gives you shivers and you become scared for whoever he's shouting at, he even broke his best friends nose in a truly gripping scene. This is what we need for Harvey Dent and eventually Two-Face. He can be kind and loving one minute but savage and violent the next, and he portrays emotions so well if he has to. Also, the look, not what most people are going for but I think it's a good and unique way, I can definately see him as Harvey Dent and his alter ego.

I'm a big Nip/Tuck fan, and I agree that Dylan Walsh is an excellent actor, but I don't know if he fits the Two-Face profile or not. He'd be an excellent Harvey Dent, but a bad Two-Face. I have to go with Joaquin Phoenix for Harvey Dent/ Two-Face. Can someone please ask Mr. Nolan if he can make this happen?

New sequel rumor on Batman-on-film says that Josh Lucas could be a canidate for Harvey Dent.

Josh Lucas has starred in Hulk and American Psycho.

Thats why I said "you never know."Sure he is the only actor I know right now he has shown intrest in the role,looks like him,and has gotten tremendous support by fans.But it doesnt mean that all that will get him the role.During the new year of 06 we could soon here some new names.

It seems that there is new candidate for Harvey Dent according to BOF Josh Lucas who started with Christian Bale in American Psycho and I agree with Jett I too never thought this guy playing Dent.

My top pick is Schrieber. Josh Lucas.... I am not really all tha familiar with his work other than I know he was in Hulk, American Psycho and Sweet Home Alabama. I can't really see Lucas being in another comic book film, but Jessica Alba has been in two comic book films... so I guess it could work for Lucas to possibly star in a Batman sequel. I was suprised to hear Josh Lucas among the other rumor canidates.
