The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

:csad: OK :hehe:

Speaking of CGI, was I the only one bottered by the CGI helicopter shots in TDK? Considering how flawless the CGI in most of the movie is (and in Batman Begins :o) I thought it looked kind of fake :wow:

Personally, considering the huge emphasis on practical effects and stunts; It did seem a little out of place but not so much that it detracted from anything.

You talking about the part where the tail crashes into the building? Yea that did look kinda silly compared to everything else. It looked, I dunno, light? Like it was blowing around like a plastic bag or something.

That's exactly how they did it - they used a plastic bag.

Are you in the business, Ace? You shouldnt be revealing trade secrets to the laypeople.

Your CG newsletter will get revoked.

:D

LOL. No i'm not in the business, I just have a keen eye for all things plastic bag related! :D

My friends and I were joking the other day...

Just slap Two-Face lightly or throw alcohol on him. He's down. Simple as that. xD

I really really love this comparison shot and I'm really really disappointed they don't have ANYTHING regarding the creation of TwoFace on the DVD. Nothing... I mean, I can understand Nolan not wanting to ruin any of the "magic" of how the movie was made, but Peter Jackson put together the best DVD special features I've ever seen for King Kong 05, and it was just as magical... oh well:whatever:

Yup. It did took me out of the movie for a bit but thankfully it was not a big deal.

It took you out more than the guy riding shotgun in the armored car with Gordon?

"Upper 5th? We'll be like turkeys on Thanksgiving."
"What is that...is that a bazooka?"
"That's not good."
"Okay that's not good."

Two Face was done very realistically, I loved it. I'm sure someone brave enough to do an internet search could verify how realistic or not realistic it is.

He was severely barbecued, Tommy Lee Jones' version looks childish in comparison. With those deep cuts and burns, he had definitely something to be totally wild and mentally unstable about. Not wanting medication to numb the pain, either. The make up and CGI guys did an excellent job.

It was somewhat obvious CGI, but not distractingly so. And it was done great, because the only way to really do Two-Face justice with the eye and such was with CGI. It worked. To complain it is not realistic enough (and then complain that the Joker is too realistic) is nitpicking and annoying.

I also really feel that Eckhart's work and Dent's great arc is completely overlooked by most people who watch the movie.

This pic deserves to be in here. :2face:

Holy crap :shock

I can safely say that I don't like the 'copter-going-through-the-building scene either. It looks like bad miniatures, bad bad. It lacks.. spectacularity
