My hype level for tonight's finale is off the charts. Loving this season so much.

He did get some key information for the team and was a badass in the death traps. Only problem was the sexually repressed angle. They could of left that out and just had him trying to recover from PSTD.

Yeah. His whole sexuality arc was forced and a waste of screen time. Much like Vaughn and his girls scenes regarding having a baby etc. Waste of time and forced.

I think Farrells Ray gets revenge on Kitchs Paul being killed when he finds out it was his old boss who did the cowardly act by shooting him in the back.

He gets revenge or dies in the process?

Still don't understand why they didn't go 10 episodes and have the final go 1.5 hours. Grrr....head scratcher.

^Especially since this show really could've used an extra half hour to flesh out all its characters and the mystery.

I think so. The more episodes the better. Especially for this particular season and the story that Pizz wanted to tell.

Hope HBO expands next season to 10 Episodes and that 10th be an hour and a half.

I really enjoyed the past 3-4 episodes, so I'm excited to see tonight's finale.

I don't think show needs more than 10 episodes. Just less meandering in the first few and an avoidance of trying to build up to a big action setpiece to get the plot rolling.

Well, intense to the last minute, just like a finale should be. :)

A lot happened, it was a lot to take in. I want to watch it again just to see what might have gone past me. :)

Eh it was ok. Wasn't bad or terrible or anything. I did like [BLACKOUT]Frank's final scenes[/BLACKOUT]

Thought the romance angle was really silly. Im gonna let the finale sit in some more before i say what I wanna say about the season as a whole

i guess the finale was fine, but I guess it also doesn't matter after all it took to get there. the more I watched the show, the less I cared how it ended...i just wanted it to end.

Finale was long but decent. Don't have much to say about it at the moment, to be honest.

I think Mel Gibson would be great as an older cop / detective in season 3.

yea... like Stephen Dillane will be joining Matthew and Woody in it.

Well I really enjoyed that finale.

Make this happen, HBO, please!

I cried, I don't usually get emotional watching things but the whole Velcoro and his son subplot and also some things going on right now for me so once I started tearing up I couldn't stop. I still think I like season 1 more but I have to do a rewatch first before I can say for sure.

Yeah, the finale was just kinda there. I think the season long mystery not being as good as the first one just sorta makes it hard to be invested in our character's connections to the mystery. I guess thematically, it sorta falls into the idea that it's impossible to beat the system or catch everyone etc, but yeah.

Also didn't like how Bezzerides basically sat out the finale. That was lame. She should've participated.

The "this is my least favorite life" motif is kinda too on the nose for my tastes.

The acting was pretty good though. Vaughn and Farrell did well.

I hope we get news on S3 soon, and I'd be down with an older cop. I keep wanting to see Denzel Washington in this, though him playing ambigous characters and cops is really nothing new. JK Simmons?

If theres an older cop next season he should be played by Sam Elliott. It would keep with the tradition of having a moustached lead lol

That was pitiful.

They ruined the only good thing this season could have left us with was Velcro/Ani running away.

The bad guys pretty much win, unless the story ever gets published... rubbish storytellling.

The mystery/plot over everything was bogus and any character past the 4 main leads was useless; couldn't remember anyone's name, their point, motives, et cetera.

Sad.

Now, give me Alison Brie/Brie Larson next year to make up for this abysmal season.

Not even Farrel's stache and McAdam's not wearing any pants made this passable.

"We get the world we deserve".

Not everything is going to have a happy ending. I haven't gotten through the episode yet but I'm not going to hold it against the show if the ending isn't happy. Life's ****ed up and bad guys win every day. I may not like the outcome, but I can respect a show that doesn't play it safe.
