As opposed to you making 10 posts a day in multiple threads to say that you hate Snyder and DC ? At least there's actual thought put in her posts, using logic and facts, unlike "derp **** Snyderbro lol".

Seriously man, take a breath, nothing is worth you getting angry like this.

Also I don't hate DC but I hate the DCEU and I don't think I make 10 posts a day, I barely have time for 2 or 3 and it's usually not to start anything but to answer to rude individuals who just wanna start an argument.

Agree or disagree with her but she's allowed to write as much as she wants.

Absolutely, I never said otherwise. When I asked her whether she has to write so much, it was a genuine question, to which she responded quite politely, end of story.

Slightly off topic but how much do you guys think the MOS2 budget shld be?Im thinking less than MOS to avoid unrealistic expectations

It should be less than wha MOS and BvS were, I really would love to see it as a more personal story (if they don't go the Braimiac route) and for that you shouldn't need to spend as much. Of course any Superman film needs a large budget but I think there are ways to control it better,

should be about 50M, because Sup's getting shafted remember?

Oops, wrong thread

SvB was a more personal story for Superman and you see how some people reacted to that.

So was Superman Returns and you see how people reacted to that.

So basically all the Superman movies have been personal.

I think it is more about the approach to Superman, the approach to his character.

In a way they do have to get down to basics and figure out what they want to say about the character. A lean mean Superman movie would be cool, but it would still need a big budget. And it could still be personal even if it included Brainiac.

Hey maybe they could go all Logan and have him depowered and travelling across America. :oldrazz:

A personal story doesn't have to be something dark or gritty. Even sending Superman to War World could be a personal story.

It doesn't have to be dark or gritty or downbeat but I think they do need to get back to maybe in a more simple way saying what the character is about. Especially now with all the complaints about Superman being too mopey or whatever. Not that they should pander to the audience.

A personal story can be simple and it also doesn't have to be mopey either.

In both BvS and SR, Superman didn't have alot of speaking moments. Perhaps to be a successful personal Superman movie they have to allow him to speak, monologue or dialogue. A balance between action and character development.

Superman (not Clark Kent) doesn't speak that often in the first place unless he is addressing the public or trying to talk down an enemy. All of which he does in both movies. Superman (not Clark Kent) really only talks to Lois and his friends which once again what he did in the movies. Hell Reeve's Superman spoke about as much as Cavil's Superman does in the movies. It is Clark Kent who really does most of the talking and Superman who does a lot of inner monolog/thoughts.

I am not line counting with this and I am not trying to have another debate. I am just throwing out ideas about how a Superman movie can be more widely embraced.

Superman, like most movie heros don't an IMO should not talk TOO much in costume. Examples like John Wayne, Eastwood (the elder :cwink:) Shane!

These guys and the "quiet man" guys. They ride in...do their work and disappear. Batman doesn't talk a whole lot in costume either. Short and sweet or it destroys the mystique...(not the blue one)

They "take action" and make statements. They don't hold conversations...as it should be...:yay:

The only people who really talk during a fight is Spider-Man and Deadpool. That's about it.

This thread needs cleansing.

Oh yes. More of this please. Both on here and in the films. :ilv: :oldrazz:

Superman isn't a chatter box in his fights but the thought bubbles go deep into his process. He analyzes the situation and goes through the solutions. He's silent hero because he's busy thinking.

Asking for more dialogue doesn't mean that Clark has to turn into Peter parker but since MOS had kal as an outsider looking in and BvS had Kal as an outsider being looked at i.e. placed in situations that did not require dialogue, I would like to see Superman (and Cavill) have more opportunities to show the charm and charisma that both character and actor are capable of and that requires more dialogue than what Superman's been allowed to have.

I would also like to see a less mopey more intellectual superman who uses his wits on occasion to overcome an opponent. STAS did that regularly.
There was a recent JL Action clip which had Superman and Lex match wits and while the execution is aimed at kids the idea is solid and can work in a more serious setting.

You know what we need from Superman when he comes back, we need this.

I hope they have more happy Superman. We had the Mr. Grumpy "She was my World" Superman for a while now.

I love Henry Cavil as Superman. Always have. He does a great job.

My favorite, that gets me every damn time is when he saves Lois(Whats it been, 5 or 6 times now?). I don't know what it is, but he's so fantastic every time. It makes me feel so happy inside lol.

Oh man...What does that say about me? ha

I want a cynical yet comical Superman. Like a Dylan Moran stand up show.

Confusion, I'm confused why you would equate Superman being grumpy with his saying "She was my world," which was a moment in a nightmare and not real, when you could have also noted that the dark nightmare was balanced with the lighter reality when Superman told Lois that she was his world and Earth was his world with a smile before he sacrificed his life. The nightmare was dark. The reality was a moment of peace and joy in part because Batman didn't take Lois from Superman. Rather, he fulfilled his promise to save Martha. Just like the movie's title, there was darkness and conflict that brought a dawn of justice or dawn.

I was using that scene as an example of his pouty, yet mad face. He had other scenes with that face, but that was the 1st one that popped in my head. I wasn't analyzing that moment. I could, but I wasn't in my last comment.
