Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - Part 11

As a Superman fan I'm disappointed with the way he's been handled in this universe up to this point, but with that said we can't change the past. Now, as far as him only showing up in the 3rd act and saving the day? No way. There is just NO way that's the plan here. It's next to impossible that they would think after all of the dissatisfaction with how he has been handled so far that that would cut it in a JL movie. How they will resurrect and place him in the middle of the film is anyone's guess but my curiosity lies here.....for Supes to come back and really blow us all away like we expect and like Geoff & Gal have alluded to he better be powered up beyond his levels in MOS & BvS because Steppenwolf clearly looks way more badass than Zod and I understand he was depowered be Doomsday but still. This grand entrance better involve Superman totally blowing fans away with a full scope of his power and it better be a healthy length of a scene. I hope this is a moment that makes you want to rewatch over and over again.

Unfortunately, it seems like that may be the case. Look at how Alfred says that he hopes that Superman isn't "late" to help them. That means that they've already gone off to fight the final battle.

Superman will probably make a entrance like Wonder Woman did in BvS and his contribution to the team will probably be just as short as her's was in that film.

I'm willing to bet that after the DVD and Blu-Ray is released for this film, you could probably watch all of Superman's scenes in one youtube video that's less than 10 minutes.

Am I the only one that thinks that stinger with Alfred is a misdirect? Alfred is nonchalantly working on a car seemingly out in the open. Superman arrives. In the middle of the end of the world why is Alfred checking out one of the Wayne civvie cars?

I am thinking this is after the finale with some kind of fake out deal for laughs.

I think Alfred is indeed talking to Superman but the way the trailer edits it is 100% misdirect. Superman does not cause the water to ripple.

Could be that Bruce told Alfred to stay at the house to wait for Superman and there was nothing for him to do except wait so he decided to fix his car?
I really doubt it's a fake out. Not with Johns saying that this will have the best Superman moment of the DCEU.

I'm very curious to see how the promos for JL will go as far as magazine and tv interviews.

Now that you mention it, that is actually a good point. Maybe wherever the group headed off to isn't a place where the group thought would involve a lot of high stakes until after they're there?

It could have been Superman's sonic boom that he normally causes in the sky when breaking the sound barrier.

That could be it as well. Honestly, I don't think Alfred would sound that serious if the situation that he was referring to wasn't a grim on.

Well, if Johns is right...at least DBZ fans will finally get a live action take of what a real goku entrance should look like.lol

Superman will without a doubt be absent from all of the magazines and pictures. Henry might show up with the cast, but I doubt that he'll be able to give away anything relevant.

They looking at Supes?

Hugs all around. :)

The kid asking the question at the 17:20 Minute mark is pretty much me and the funny thing is that i can picture most of the posters here responding like how Jason Mamoa did.lol

how do u think that kid reacted to what gal said?
I assume that's where the analogy stops.

I can't wait to see humanity's reaction when they see Superman is back. I wonder how Lex will react lol

If Supes returns not at full strength and Bruce finds him and leaves him recuperating in the Batcave, then this could be the moment after he wakes up, Alfred giving him the sit-rep.

I could buy that.

Try this for size. Bruce does exactly what you say, and scans his body to check his health, which explains the hologram we see in the trailer. It might not just be a scene of Bruce mourning Superman.

I will genuinely be very surprised if Superman came back to life that early since that shot looks like it takes place underneath the sewers of Gotham, which is like the first big action set piece involving the league.

So what do you guys think? I mean, do you think that it's possible that Warner may go as far as to have Henry not join his co stars when they're invited to talk shows (namely like Jimmy Kimmel) to maintain this dumb allusion that he's not in the film?

Also, now that comic con has concluded, I can honestly say that 2012's will forever remain as my favorite.

And even though this was never officially released, this got more people excited just from watching the crappy bootleg that had leaked online back then than any JL trailer we've gotten since imho.

It's not to maintain that allusion dude. It's because there is no reason to have Henry in interviews because he can say **** all about his part in the movie. Imagine if he were on the panel at CC this year, all the QnA time would've been wasted trying to get him to answer unanswerable questions.
Hell I don't think Henry would mind either, no one like press junkets.

I'd imagine Henry could give two ****s about not having to do press junkets for this movie. It's a dream for an actor - do the fun stuff with none of the boring, awkward crap, and then bask in the glory of being the guy who turns up at the end to save everyone's butts.

EXACTLY. We gotta stop with this "poor henry" ****. He's having the time of his life, I'm sure.
