Am I missing something? I thought Zimmer was never a composer on this film? Y'all are talking like losing Junkie XL is the equivalent of losing Zimmer. It's really, REALLY not. You can blame WB/Whedon for a lot of things, but Zimmer chose not to do this while Zack was still on board.

JunkieXL was Hans' understudy and probably would have used Hans' MOS score for the ending which ends with, well, Superman.

Instead we got a score for the ending that I doubt many remembered lol

I don't know Elfman in person but he came off very cocky to me, and the fact that he used like 15 seconds of the previous DC scores doesn't diminish that arrogant ego impression to me. DC scores were like the strength of this universe and gets recycled by more ads/programs, in my countries anyway.

I would personally have just hired a trailer editor to re-mix the previous scores for JL, Elfman's WW and Flash tunes were fine but I'd swap the 60 second glory for a whole movie of MOS/BvS/WW themes.

Junkie would have no doubt reused amd remixed Zimmer's themes from the prior two movies amd there would have been a consistent audio continuity between the movies. Plus, people forget Junkie was there from the beginning. He scored Zod's theme with Zimmer in MoS.

But his BvS work was trash, imo. I just feel like people are building up this great score we missed out on in their heads, which probably never existed in the first place. I do think it would've been better than Elfman's, just for keeping Zimmer's themes, but I hardly think we missed out on anything great.

But even recycling Hans' score is better than Elfman's lol =P

I don't know if I'd say Junkie's work was trash, but it was definitely a little like "Oh, this is what you're bringing to Batman, huh? Banging? Alright..."

Musically, I'm pulling for a fresh start with Reeves' Batman. I'm crossing my fingers for Giacchino.

Agree to disagree. ;) But at the very least, I feel the score would have stood out which, imo, is better than a score that just sinks into the background and adds nothing to the movie. I mean, for a low budget indie film, background noise is fine but for a big epic superhero movie thats unacceptable.

So probably something like this...

God, yes! That was the stuff right there. Thank you.

I liked it. I always have.

The BvS score was one of the best I have ever heard. It made me realize why it seems every freakin movie is scored by Zimmer. So many beautiful pieces as well as the epic "Is She With You".

beautiful lie, WW theme, lex luthor theme were dope

don't understand how people don't like it overall even though batman's score went a lil hard

It's nice to know that we confirm the final montage of the film including Clark's shirt-rip came from Snyder.

See this is why the muscle definition looks weird. They made the muscle suit too sharp and rigid. Dunno why the hell they changed it....

Also nice to know that we get another scene with Cavill that doesn't include a CGI mouth!

On top of that though, he looks better than ever in this scene, especially his hair.

I haven't watched the clip yet but I hope this doesn't spoil it for me when I watch it. Does anyone know if the Youtube or Amazon Prime video includes the bonus scene?

I need that scout ship scene fast. My video is pretty much complete, just need to add that one scene.

Are you making a fan edit?

I found this interview to be really interesting:

I think Beautiful Lie, Their War Here, Day of The Dead, Is She With You ?, This Is My World tracks were outstanding.

But each of us has his/her own opinion, some people here think Elfman's JL score is better than Zimmer /Junkie's BvS score, so it's OK.
