The irony is WBs would have saved money had they just released Snyder’s film. They wouldn’t have had to pay the budget for reshoots and I imagine the film wouldn’t have made any less than it did.

This whole test audience thing is so dumb. So they laughed more at Whedon's version... So what? They would have laughed if the movie started with a pie-in-the-face gag. Doesn't mean it's what you want in your movie.

I believe that the movie might have made (approximately) 50 mil. less and it would have cost 50 mil. less budget.

I think Irons sells it so well. In BvS he was so reverential towards him with the whole , "He is not our enemy" bit and then to meet an actual God who has risen from the dead, the tiny little bow he does as he says, "Master Kent" is just brilliant.

Although, without really knowing the context of why Superman goes to Alfred, I can understand why that bit would have been cut.

Indeed!

I would imagine that the Fortress seen would have been intercut with the Steppenwolf fight, with the audience then knowing Superman is on the way to the rescue. To then add another cut simply to have him drop by Alfred's with a smile (as heart-meltingly, sexuality-questioningly beautiful as it is) would be pointless and would cut momentum from the return (imo).

Nah, that'd be a waste of money; I can imagine them not applying the eye make up for shots where he has the goggles on, tho.

If you watch one of the older bts vids when the league is talking onto the flying fox over the lake you can see Alfred and Bruce say something to each other. It wouldn't surprise me if Bruce says to Alfred to wait for Clark to show up outside (not in the batcave) and Alfred says, what am I suppose to do in the mean time? And Bruce says, "I don't know....fix my car ir something."
