It was originally supposed to be black.
I may be in the minority, and maybe it's being nitpicky, but I gotta admit something here - I have never been more annoyed with the change in Cavill's appearance in each movie he's appeared in so far.
Aesthetically, I feel like he looked the absolute best in MOS:

Then, in BvS, his Clark Kent looked terrific but his Superman had this flat slicked look which I feel looked terrible:

And then Justice League... cgi face aside, his hair was just too short I feel like, I don't mind that he's parting his hair the other way, I think he's shown it looks great on him in his everyday life:

The weird thing about JL is that his hair length and color is inconsistent based on reshoots, it's even shorter here:

It just blows my mind because Cavill rocks these naturally very Superman-esc hairstyles in real life and I can't understand why they go with the looks they do:

He definitely looked his best in MOS, looked good in BvS and I was baffled by his look in JL. Moving forward, I sincerely hope they straighten out his appearance. Anyone else agree? Also just felt like this thread needed some Cavill gifs, so here ya'll go.
There won’t need to be. WB are probably going to recast at this point. There has been absolute radio silence on any Cavill Supes project and I highly doubt they will announce any at Fandome
I think you are in the majority, many agreed with you...
As Clark, his hair needs to be this kinda messy frizz that he just kinda pats down, lol.. then as superman, he needs to brush it back via his fingers and then a natural S curl appears.
Like, as he flies and does stuff, his hair will be all messed up and he will naturally flick it back... and will look great...as Clark it needs to be all off his face and tidier, somewhat...
The issue with JL is that the gel was too thick and wet look.. and the parting was too near the middle, also, he needed the hair cut and tapered just above the ears to give style and texture..
Goes either two ways, they reveal something big (which in itself goes two ways, Cavill or reboot) or they don't say a thing, which means right now it's dead... which is shocking.
I am hoping for sequel to MOS - at this point, go with Cavill. the DCEU has 5 years or so left in it... they can then leap frog off 'the batman' and do new solo reboots that will have the DNA of Reeves work and allow that to merge, if need be.
Imagine in 5 years a superman movie set in that universe, but totally separate.. along with WW, GL, flash etc... that's how I can see it going..
It's the hope that kills yaWhy are you getting my hopes up bro??!!
Smallville's is ruined as soon as you notice that he's only wearing a t-shirt with the symbol on it.
It's the hope that kills ya
This is why I would bet on a Cavill movie.
He's already established, he's built like a brick **** house, he has fame with Witcher and is extra ordinarily good looking, shares same reps as Rock, bodes well for Black Adam.. No point rebooting superman right now.
Did anyone pick up on a "break" panel where Daughtry is singing "Waiting For Superman"?
I mean Jesus Christ this can't be more on the nose. #AnnounceMOS2.
Is that before the TBA Panel?
Sean O'Connell, author of Release the Snyder Cut book got some swag sent from FanDome and it includes a lot of Superman...Seems like they're trying to get the hype engine for Superman started in anticipation of this.
Or maybe it's nothing and I'm blowing this out of proportion because of all the Superman gif tweets coming from official accounts.
Man, they just have to know what they are doing here, right? Like, they have to know how many people won't only be disappointed if no major Superman announcement is made, but that a lot of people will feel like they were trolled because of how WB/AT&T set up the expectation themselves. They are showing a clear understanding of how social media works since the Snyder Cut announcement. So they have to know they are setting up this expectation with their posted pictures and the music and the swag, etc. So either they are doing all of this masterfully, building anticipation, and we do get a major Cavill/Superman announcement and do a great job of building trust with the fans or... they do just the opposite.
see Daughtry listed at 4:30 est. in the Hall of Heroes.
I missed that, what did you see?Did anyone pick up on a "break" panel where Daughtry is singing "Waiting For Superman"?

I know nothing about Daughtry except that he’s an American Idol person, so I didn’t know he had a song called “Waiting For Superman,” which I agree makes it pretty damn obvious Cavill will be there given the timing of his placement.
Oh hai John Connor!
Thanks @Tra-El , that man's voice does not match his appearance (I mean that in a good way).![]()
