Justice League Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - - - - - - - - - Part 19

Honestly Enola Holmes doesn’t look my sort of thing but I’ll probably watch it cause Henry’s in it. Which is what I did for the Witcher and I ended up loving that so hopefully this works out as that did.

Yeah, it looks more YA, but Cavill's in it (doesn't look like he has too much screen time, but that makes sense), so it's worth the watch.

It only makes sense for Man of Steel 2 and another Superman solo AFTER the release of the Snyder Cut, which keeps the year of 2023 as a release year, as a WB official said some time ago.

I think it's abundantly obvious Henry is definitely popping up in:

The Snyder Cut 2021
Black Adam (end credit?) 2021
Shazam2! 2022 (cameo?)
Superman solo (2023/2024)

I'm bias to Henry's Superman so I'm picking up what Superchan is putting down.
Wait when did you change your name.

Whoa, Enola Holmes looks kinda good and Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite characters and Cavill is my boy so I think I am checking this out.

Honestly, I still wonder if Superman's character would be in a better place if Snyder had not agreed to direct MOS in the first place.

On one hand, I really doubt anyone else could have made Superman the center of so much controversy and like Snyder did. And whether you love or hate his films, you can't deny Snyder's ability to keep people talking about his work years after its release.

At the same time, the character is technically stuck in development hell and doesn't look like he has much of bright future in the DCEU.

Wait when did you change your name.
:funny:

I'm wearing my black suit until there's ANY official announcement on Superman going forward. Kind of irked we're having to wait this long, even with Fandome so I'm wearing black until then (thanks to flick for allowing me to have fun with it;nd).

I thought for sure that it'd be @SuperRouth getting a name change in light of the bet he made a couple weeks back. But somehow amid all that lack of Superman content, Cavill still managed to show. :funny:

What if he pops up in a surprise cameo in something do you revert back then?

Can’t live in the past on what ifs, where are where we are just gotta see what comes.

haha I got lucky mate :funny:

Honestly, I'm not really excited at the idea of seeing Superman show up in "Black Adam". If history has taught us anything, Superman never fares well in direct confrontations with other costumed heroes (or anti-heroes) when it comes to his live action portrayals.lol

Plus, knowing the Rock's ego, he'd probably want to have Black Adam mop the floor with Superman on the big screen. I would only find myself excited again for Superman's cinematic future when I hear that he's going to either appear in another Justice League film (in a prominent role where he doesn't become the villain, via Injustice) or in his own solo film.

Its pretty obvious HC's Superman is gonna pop up in Black Adam right? He will definitely have a cameo in that movie.

Has to be end credit; present day. I would bet the house. Rock is letting it out of the bag with teases and Shazam: Fury of The Gods panel teased the hell out of Superman. Even the last bullet point read: "Superman should mentor Shazam" so it's all but happening. They're just not ready to reveal yet.

From the looks of the panel at fandome, most of Black Adam is going to be set in the present day. The concept art shows him fighting modern looking soldiers, the backgrounds featuring the JSA look like they are supposed to be modern too.

i feel the same.
i think we'll be waiting a long, long time until another solo superman movie.
at this point, i would not be surprised when the next solo film is out, i am already a grandfather.

You going to end up old and in a wheelchair being pushed by an Anna Nicole lookalike, but still no Superman movie. Cavill’s scalp would be donated to science for hair loss research.

Tra-els great grandkids would continue his legacy and wear black. His tombstone read, “Died of a broken heart waiting for a new Superman solo.” Right next to him is herolee, it reads “I told you so!”

It triggers me immensely to see Superman stuck in this limbo of uncertainty while WB continue to churn out a constant stream of Batman movies.. and I love Batman.

The dust has barely settled on Bale/Nolan's franchise & they're already kick starting potentially another new trilogy.

I have no interest in seeing Superman show up in Black Adam, Shazam or cameo in any other DC film unless it's actually going to lead somewhere ie to more of his own content.

What frustrates me most with WB with Superman is they seem to think he’s Not able to generate huge box office when the opening weeeknds to Superman Returns & Man of Steel proved he is. Even as someone who loves Man of Steel the last two solo movies were niche takes that weren’t able to sustain an audience for a long theatrical run. If Superman had had a movie that clicked with general audiences like the Dark Knight or Aquaman did he’d easily generate a billion dollars at the box office. The issue here is WB who seem to be the only people on the planet who don’t get what it takes to make a blockbuster Superman that connects with the audience.

That and, they don't seem to care much for the character in general.

I think it’s more just they care about money, if Superman’s last few films had a billion they’d care. But they’re too stupid to see those films did make a billion because of their mistakes.

And the sad thing is that Warner Bros has yet to truly capitalize the full potential of Superman's mythology and supporting characters.

The fact that we don't even have one live-actipn film that has ever utilized the likes of Brainiac, Metallo, Parasite, or Mongul is just sad and crazy.

Hell, we have yet to get a film that truly explores Metropolis as a whole

Imagine the box office turnouts if we had a film that featured Superman, Supergirl, Steel, and Superboy going up against an invasion by the likes of Brainiac with Metallo used as his pawn? Unless the Director is an incompetent idiot, then that's a guaranteed billion dollar success right there.
