regardless. fact is Cavill hasn't done any good movie... period. :p

Wait a minute....aren't you the same guy that said BM vs SM "wasn't filming in another country and had no Asian actors cast" over in the "Box Office prediction" thread?

Does anyone else smell Troll in here?

Reading 'World Without a Superman' at the moment, and it's a lot better than I expected. I think it's because it gets across the spirit of Superman, why he's important. What he means to people. He doesn't actually need to appear physically to have a presence.

Uh huh. Well, at least he's still appearing in movies that make it to theaters, rather than doing guest spots on Arrow.

Enjoy drawing your Superman Returns comic strips.

Found this on Youtube, Superman vs Superman (Reeve vs Cavill).

Yeah, I love the editing skills of some people on Youtube. Some of that really flowed well, especially the fight part between the two of them...nice. Again, I love Cav-El and hope they give him some major acting moments in this next film. He deserves them!

You're only now catching that scent?

Agreed

OMG, this seriously brought tears to my eyes. Unbelievable! Thank you for posting this. Made my day!!!

Your welcome:yay:

GOTG was an unknown in term of its performance. certainly it wasn't a blockbuster movie. it is also because no super blockbuster movie coming out in July this year. the same can't be said for 2015.

Not a blockbuster??? Seriously?

I should have known it would be pushed back because WB were pretty quiet about it.

Like many I was not surprised to hear The Man From Uncle has been pushed right back. Just another sign that when a studio locks in a date, it means nothing many times and they have been very quiet about the movie.

August isn't competitive.
what do we have this year? GOTG and ninja turtles? that's called competitive?

What a perplexing outlook. I think I'd be rather intimidated to follow you down the proverbial rabbit hole....:oldrazz:

Other than MOS have you seen him in anything else?

immortal and the cold light of day. both can't be said as good.

so UNCLE doesn't look hopeful... especially when the delay of the release day announced. could mean they have a preview of the raw final product and the investors weren't happy with it... and demand ... amendment... it happens. which isn't a bad thing... if it can be improved.

peace out.

AWESOME VIDEO ABOUT THE SDCC BVS trailer!!! Dat music.

This is Cavill's 4th consecutive major movie to be pushed back!

Immortals kept getting pushed back because financing kept falling through. Man Of Steel was pushed back from December 2012 to summer 2013. BvS pushed back 10 months from 2015 to 2016. And now U.N.C.L.E pushed back from Jan to August 2015. The man can't catch a break!

It is still absurd to me that in the prime of his youth from 2011 to 2016 (both years included), Cavill will have had only 4 film in 6 years! The man needs to do more movies! And more different kind of movies, not just studio tentpoles like these 4 films.

I always wondered why he or his people didn't try harder to put him in more stuff. I'm sure some romantic comedies would be happy to have him? Or a Nicholas Sparks movie, or even a Michael Bay joint, whatever. I know that his "type" doesn't scream versatility, but it's gotta be a drag for an actor to spend your days just working out and waiting around to shoot Superman movies. He should find himself a juicy villain role and stretch himself. Or theater, even? He's still a little green as an actor IMO, he should work on acquiring experience.

Yeah, I don't get it either. He's easily a better actor than some of these other guys who keep popping up in lead roles. He's a better actor than Alex Pettyfer or Liam Hemsworth. He's easily a better actor than Taylor Kitsch, who seems to get handed the keys to franchises every five minutes (and UNLIKE Kitsch or Ryan Reynolds, he didn't play the lead in multiple financial bombs).

Maybe he's too picky. All his movies after his stint in The Tudors have involved directors of some caliber or renown (Schumacher, Tarsem, Woody Allen)...and even if it isn't, the players are stars (Weaver, Willis).

But that's just my observation...it could be his looks are against him :oldrazz:

maybe henry just want to focus on superman which is likely for a long time.......he probably turn down some offer is my guess

I think the reason why Henry isn't getting the recognition he deserves is he's always choosing movies that 1) either give him the lead action role, and/or 2) have a famous crewmember (Woody Allen, Joel Schumacher, Bruce Willis, Sigourney Weaver).

To get critical attention, he needs to start choosing roles based on the quality of the scripts. He's already got his name out there with Superman. Now he needs to find the great stories that will let him show off his talent.
