BvS Henry Cavill IS Superman - Part 11

There are honestly no words that can explain how happy i am with the new suit!

My main issue with the MOS suit was the dim/dull colors, dim and dull is and never will be Superman. I had a hunch Snyder was going to brighten up the colors on this new suit due to an interview he did around a year or so ago. He said something to the effect of (now im paraphrasing here to the best of my memory) "The Superman i am making is not set on his true traditions yet, he is an Alien trying to find himself, he is in a dark place in his head, he is scared and you will see this in his character", Then Snyder went on to say "If im lucky enough to be able to continue on additional films in this franchise, my next Superman will be a much more traditional Superman, he will be a happier, a more charismatic Superman and will be much more grounded to the way of the people of Earth".

That interview was the first thing that popped in my head when seeing this gorgeous set pic, you can totally see from what Snyder was saying in that interview in this new suit! The brighter colors (happier, less depressing, you can feel the word "HOPE" in these colors), the less prominent Alien strips that line his ribs and waist, this suit gives a much less Alien feel and a much more traditional Superman feel to it! The wrist cuffs no longer look like snap on plastic, and the MUCH brighter gold square belt design looks like something that came from this planet and not from outterspace.

I showed my wife this set pic compared to a set pic from MOS, and her exact words were "Finally they got it right, NOW thats the Superman i know! Them colors in the last movie depressed me".

Extremely THRILLED with this new suit, massive props to Snyder, i can honestly say i like this suit better then the Reeves suit, which was my fav up until today.

I think the Superman fans who were worried that Snyder, a lifelong Batman fan would undermine Superman in this movie should take heart - Snyder's actually given Superman a very intimidating and alpha look, making his musculature and physical strength very "in your face" and over-emphasized. This should serve him well while facing off with Batman who would be wary of Superman and maybe even a little scared!

That could very well just be Snyder wanting everything to look "awesome".

I think they’ve broken up but still, anyone who’s had a go on Cav-El is the LUCKIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD. So yeah. Lucky, Lucky Gina.

Argh! THAT's the hair Superman should have! It should be parted on the other side, and the forelock should be a little bit longer and swoop into more of an S shape, but that's basically the modern comic version of Superman's hair right there! Loose and natural!

What we've seen in the pics from BvS should be Clark's hair, more than anything.

What we've seen in the pics from BvS should be Clark's hair, more than anything.

While I don't mind the slick hair on Sups, they have completely reversed his Clark and Superman hairstyle.

It's a good thing I'm not as good looking or famous as Cavill. If I was him, I would sleep with all of those women, even the ones I don't find particularly attractive, just because I could.

The thing is every time I see leaked photos and get excited, then I get disapointed. The suit lools so great in those pics. But on film, well, look at MOS. Outside where Superman and the miltary are confronted by Faora and Nemek, Superman's cape is so dark purple. When Superman walks outside the scoutship in his suit for the first time, his red looks dark red brown, it hardly looks red. In the scene where Superman explains to the military base about the phantom drive, just look at the dryness of the color, it practically looks like a western, with a darker saturation. And has for Superman's red, it's just barely visible. It's super brown.

For me he doesn't. And I like that to be honest. He doesn't look like superman to me in any of these pictures. That's exactly the way I like it. And I also think he's hair looks lame like that. I am soooo happy it doesn't look like that in the movie.
