Wow, Henry does look a lot like Steve Reeves.

But yeah, no more bad Hercules movies. I've become convinced that it's not possible to make a GOOD Hercules movie, so let's just leave that alone. But I'd be down for Henry in another Greek or Roman mythology movie if it had a better script and director than Immortals did.

Oh, man. I want to see this now just to see Slumcat's reaction. I'm sure however, that the film will have less artistic integrity than The Legend of Hercules and that Kellan Lutz is leading man material. Better than Henry. :woot:

Mark Twight (Cavill's trainer) actually said that he used Steve Reeves' physique as a template for Cavill's workout routine during the production of MoS.
Thanks, that's cool to know.

I'm old enough to have seen a few Steve Reeves films and also familar with the body builders of the pre-1980s period, so at the begining of MOS filming when the set photos of Cavill came out, I actually thought that Cavill's build seem similar to that of Steve Reeves.

Maybe he was referring to George. :oldrazz:

Completely ashamed to admit that I didn't think of that. By I assume it was Reeve because, let's be honest here, how many people are going to think of George before good ol' Chris?

Hahahaha yeah. But both of course pale in comparison to the great Scott Adkins, who is not only the greatest martial artist who ever lived (he even fought Bruce Lee's ghost recently and won!) but also a brilliant actor who would have cleaned up at the Oscars years ago if the voting wasn't completely rigged.

Now excuse me while I binge watch some DTV action movies, followed up by the best films of Michael Haneke.

:funny:

I've always pictured Slumcat as a guy in a beret who sips brandy in between sets of deadlifts.

I know. I was just messing around. :funny:

How about bearded Superman :woot:

now that's pretty cool.

i have a few mods for Skyrim, and one of them is a kryptonian race mod... and my version of Superman looks almost identical to that, Man of Steel suit and all.

he's all manly

Oddly Cavill rocking the beard in the Superman suit is not that weird.

Yeah, it looks kinda perfect. Like those various 80s and 90s comics where Supes would get stranded on some planet somewhere light years away and go all barbarian, fighting alien monsters and sh**.

Cavill should do something against type but that plays into his unrealistic good looks. He could play a movie star guy or a gym rat guy in something like Pain and Gain. Or let that beard go wild and play hot hobo guy or something. He's still a little green imo, but I could tell from the UNCLE trailer that he means business in terms of acting and trying new stuff, stepping out of his comfort zone.

Yeah, he should. I hope that Stratton movie turns out good, but I think Cavill would do better to try his hand at a drama or a straight-up comedy. He seems to be targeting a lot of action roles, which isn't a good thing if you don't want to get typecast. He didn't really do that before Superman, but maybe those are the only offers he's receiving.
