Lies! All have 3 things to be looking at them :o

That's not true. Some of us really like Ritchie's films! And Cavill's awesome!

Oh, wait, you were talking about the communist-kickball player. Yeah. We don't care about that.

'MURICA!

Early January? Snyder in the Empire article said it's Spring 2016 they start shooting JL1. Must be a typo.

I wasn't planning on seeing this movie until I saw the trailer, it looks funny and interesting, I don't care about the original source.

Ditto. That Henry charm and Ritchie-style fun drew me in.

About Superman solo movie.

Henry Cavill is a “King of ‘Con” after shutting down a street at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. His discussion on what Superman means and how he can be developed in live action shows the title is well deserved.
“They’re the mythological heroes of our day,” Cavill says, “and I want to help tell their stories for as long I can.” He seems almost territorial over the Man of Steel and his tory. “But I have no power over the script,” he admits, “and Chris Terrio [scriptwriter for the series] is a very good writer. There’s so much that can be done with Superman. The Batman story is easy. He’s dark and brooding and dangerous. Superman, I believe, can be a better story, but it requires 10 times the effort to get it right. All I cando is keep my gingers crossed that the big cheeses at the top care as much about the characters as I do.”

^ Thanks, John.

I like when he says "I want to help tell their stories for as long as I can." Good to know. I want as many supes appearances from him as he's able/asked to do.

Here's a picture of Cavill from the upcoming Men's Fitness article:

Well Warner Brothers better care about Superman as much as Henry does because he's a great character and one of the few characters that people will keep coming back to no matter how disappointed they are with the latest film.

Sometimes I think they should let Henry take a crack at co-writing a Superman film. :funny:

Something I like about Cavill is that he's got an old-world quality. He's an old school type of handsome, like Gregory Peck.

Here's another photo from the Men's Fitness article:

"I ask him what every guy who’s ever watched a movie sex scene has wondered: Has he ever found himself, er, unintentionally aroused on set?"

“It’s only happened to me once,” he admits, ” and it was very embarrassing. A girl had to be on top of me, she had spectacular breasts, and I hadn’t rearranged my—stuff into a harmless position. She’s basically rubbing herself all over me and, um, it got a bit hard. I had to apologize profusely afterward. It’s not great when you’re in a professional acting environment and somebody gets a *****, is it? No, not acceptable.”

Unless Snyder's view of Superman changes for the absolute worse, I think Superman should be in relatively safe hands for the time being given on how Snyder is essentially the godfather of the DCEU.

I mean Snyder was offered a chance to direct a solo Batman film after MOS, if I read the Empire article correctly. And despite him saying that he felt that he couldn't do it based on what Nolan had accomplished, it's also telling that Snyder didn't simply go for a full on Justice League film where he'd have to give the attention and spotlight to 7 heroes.

I think Snyder finds something interesting in Superman's story, hence why he said that Batman is entering Superman's world and not the other way around and why he preferred telling a story that continued what he started in MOS while introducing his take on what Batman should be for this universe.

And honestly, I rather Warner Bros take some time to find the right director to tackle the solo films (since I'm assuming that Snyder will be focused on the big League films) than getting a "Alan Taylor" like director where so and so ends up delivering a medicore film with a medicore result for Superman's next solo film.

And somehow, I doubt any woman would mind being in that situation with Cavill. Heck, I know of a few posters here who would go to great lengths to have been in that woman's position. :o
