Late to the party, but I enjoyed what we saw in the trailer (Superman/Clark related stuff).

Now, I'm not going to pull a "Tobias" and say that Superman is screwed or is treated like the proverbial bastard of Warner Bros.lol It's been stated by Snyder and such that Superman's and Batman's roles are evenly divided in the film and such.

My only "nitpick" is that I wish we would have gotten a trailer focused on Clark's/Superman's POV of the events of this film as opposed to only getting trailers where we've seen either Batman's POV or the world's POV on Superman.

Warner Brothers doesn't treat Superman as well as they should, that is not hyperbole, that is a stone cold fact. I loved the trailer though and I will try not to assume anything with regards to Superman's treatment in the film, I'll wait to see it and decide. Right now, today, I am feeling good about it, I have moments when I am not though.

If/When the movie is a hit I do want to hear about another solo Superman film soonish. Superman is an icon, this version of him deserves more than one solo outing.

See despite what some believe I actually do complain about WB quite a bit, I'm not a blind stan. I'm just not a constant nit picker is all, I complain when I should. How could I not be a little leery of a studio that allowed Catwoman and Green Lantern to happen?

I loved the trailer though and I will try not to assume anything with regards to Superman's treatment in the film, I'll wait to see it and decide. If/When the movie is a hit I do want to hear about another solo Superman film soonish. Superman is an icon, this version of him deserves more than one solo outing.

I totally agree.

Personally, I hope the Justice League concept art that was shown in the DC special awhile ago was an indication that Superman will at least have an important role within the group when they eventually form.

Plus, with everything that has been said by Snyder on how he sees Superman (now) as a character, I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

I just hope that when the Batman Solo film is announced with an official date, that Superman's solo film is announced either around the same time or soon afterwards.

I'd also like to see more footage from Superman's perspective. I understand that Batman is the new baby, but I feel like Superman has been a tiny bit underrepresented. At first, it felt like an intentional marketing technique (and a very clever one, at that). Now...well, I'm not one of those people who think WB, Snyder, or anyone, really, has it out for Superman, and we did just get that TV spot not too long ago, but...yeah. More of him, please.

I really do get the feeling some are having towards the supposed 'lack' of Superman but I really do feel the last trailer and even the CC trailer were Superman focuses. Even when he's not on screen he's the one been talked about. I feel like some are seeing a lack of dialogue and thinking they aren't seeing him much. Yet look at the imagery a ton of it us Superman.

The Conan clip was a Superman heavy one remember aswell.

Personally, the Comic Con and Doomsday trailers were my favorite because they portrayed both heroes on a equal footing.

But the last trailer, which I feel like the biggest reason why people are gushing over it is because of Batman's fight sequence, didn't show Superman that much and made it look like he was only a main character and not 1/2 of the two protagonists for the film.

Plus, while you have characters all talking and reacting about Superman...that's just it. His presence/existence is just being used as a "plot device", but that in itself doesn't mean that he's going to be as exposed or actively used like how Batman will be. And it seems like Bruce/batman has a more compelling arc in this film as well.

I don't think Snyder has it out for Superman at all. And I don't think that there has been a lack of Superman in the marketing materials. I think the film looks good but I've always been annoyed that another Superman film wasn't made before a film like this. BvS is my most anticipated film of the year but that has always been my position.

And my complaining about WB's (not Sndyer's) treatment of the character has always been a thing. I'm a fan of the flawed Man of Steel film and even I will not ignore that it seems like WB never has concrete plans and a vision for Superman. He's a tough character to get just right so it is to some degree understandable why all of his modern films have had trouble getting off of the ground and being as liked as other comic book films.

There is a lot of nuance to my opinions and I could go on and on about it all really.

I love herolee and I love that he is a Superman advocate but I don't agree with his reading of the new trailer.

The cape is probably the easiest part to hide. The raised shield, thick collar, and gauntlets would be the real challenge.

Here's the thing... Is such a detail being, well, detailed or not in the film actually of any consequence to anyone's actual enjoyment or the film or speak to good or bad film making techniques or results?

The new trailer is Batman/Bruce heavy but I still felt Superman was important and I also thought he was a badass here. That push and grenade catching was just as awesome to me as Batman kicking criminal ass.

And I never get tired of that shot of Superman in slow mo before he kicks the batmobile. It says a thousand words as a photo does and all are very positive words.

Cavill was Superman here as much as Affleck was Batman
