BvS Henry Cavill IS Superman - - - - - - - - - Part 23

I actually really enjoyed "Reign", it was an intriguing mystery and they found a slick way to bring the real Superman back in the middle of the story without anyone realizing it until a month or two later. I was especially a big fan of the Eradicator Superman and the evil Cyborg one.

But I can understand why some people didn't care for it. I definitely think it was better than Knightquest, the Batman version of it, so to speak. Azrael was such an annoying prick and they dragged that story out for far too long. I even remember DC admitting to this and apologizing for it.

Both Knightfall and Death and Return of Superman were actually of pretty good quality for "event" stories, though I think both are hampered by that same "event" label. I also think their strengths were in totally opposite areas; Knightfall went for a more scaled back and just on the cusp of believability story that produced one great adversary and a so-so new family member while launching the new status quo fro Gotham, while Reign of the Superman was an absolutely fantastic spectacle that produced two strong additions to the family and a two okay-to-great villains.

I mean, yeah, neither was perfect...but I'd still hold their mix of quality and scale over a lot of modern events and even some regular stories.

I hope they've written some strong dialogue to go with images like this. I want to see a humble superman that can admit to mistakes, but also one that proudly and confidently states what he can and will do to help this planet and its people that will one day adopt him as he's adopted them.

Thanks for getting the conversation back on track. I assumed the picture was a publicity still and wouldn't be in the movie. I'm shocked that I never saw Henry and thought Superman because he embodies it so well.

Yep, agree with all of that. I really hope we get a great speech from Supes during that Senate hearing and it doesn't just cut to a terrorist attack (or whatever) right as he's about to speak.

I kinda feel like the endings of Knightfall and the Death-Return stories are the weakest links, Superman's return cuts the emotional impact of Superman's death and having Azrael Batman take down Bane instead of Bruce is just a huge disappointment. The death of Barry Allen during Crisis on the other hand gets right what Knightfall and DOS got wrong, Barry staying dead and having a character that actually was capable of following him allowed them to move forward without cutting the emotional impact. DoS was a gimmick and Knightfall failed to realize that the only character that could get away with donning Bruce's cowl for very long had already been written into the role of Nightwing.

I'm very glad to see Henry not only attending the Oscars, but presenting with the lovely Kerry. He looked great and sounded great.

However...some of his fans have no tact whatsoever. I went to tumblr to see some photos of him at the event and while there were some great ones, there were also some persnickety comments about some woman he's supposed to be dating. He's a human being with a right to live his own life. People need to get off his back about his personal life. Dude's gonna die alone because his women will get tired of all the smack talk they get simply for dating him. Ugh.

He probably has costumed photo shoots going on in the pre-production stage of JL to see how the JL members look against each other so they can do fine tuning on costumes etc.

Yeah, some of them acting like he is a pedophile or something...Trying to make it a big deal. The guy is only 32...not 62. lol.

Truth is they are scorned a super good looking man preferes a younger girlfriend instead of someone at their age.
