The weirdest thing about that Africa scene is that he shows up AFTERA a ton of other people have been shot dead. Imagine how much better the whole would have been if he saved people first then got inside to save Lois

I hope the extended edition shows the guy living. It would defuse this stupidity.

I can't believe that people honestly believe the guy died. People if he had, Lex would've mentioned it! Lex, who is working to discredit Supes, would be all about using that Warlord's death to advance his cause. The fact he doesn't PROVES it didn't happen!

Lex's men killed everybody BEFORE Lois started panicking and the warlord took Lois inside and pointed a gun to her head.

Yeah so rewrite it so Superman doesn't look like a mug showing up after the carnage, including Olsen getting gunned down

Give him a break, Metropolis to Africa is a long way to fly in just a few seconds.

The dead people also become part of why Superman is held in suspicion. Again, it's the perception and not the reality. Apparently wherever Supes goes people end up dead, and people fill in their own blanks.

If he's resurrected in outer space, the home of the aliens that are helping him gets struck by a comet, obliterating everyone.

"Awww CRAP...!!!

The only one rewriting this is YOU to make him seem like a cold murderer who smiles at the thought of smashing a man's body.

Fair point. They should have avoided the ploughing terrorists through walls bit too because it's resulted in some people thinking he murdered the guy, which he never

But if Supes killed the warlord, why wouldn't he kill Lex after Lex nearly murdered Lois? And why wouldn't he let DD kill Lex later?

And why wouldn't he immediately kill Bats to save his mother??

Plus, if he felt bloodlust over killing that warlord, why would we go to the senate hearing?

I swear, it's like people done lost their minds over this film. They're reading it in a way that makes zero sense just to bash it.

Which is dumb--there's other, legitimate criticisms.

It would make no sense for him to kill that man. He doesn't pose a threat to Superman. Scare the crap out of him for threatening Lois? Absolutely. Classic Superman, with the breaking of walls and so on.

And before he does it...he shoots a half smile Lois' way. The idea that Superman would drag a man through walls hard enough to kill him...I'm just not seeing it. There's nothing to suggest that this character would do that, in this or the previous film. Lois is out of danger, and that man is no threat to Superman.
l.
But it makes perfect sense for you that he just does it to scare him. Because, why? you said he's no threat to anyone. I mean logically what y you're saying makes no sense. If he isn't trying to kill him, then why would he smash him through the wall? It's happening way too fast for the guy to know what's happening, so how could it be scary? He's not a killer, just illogical and petty. Well, I guess it's a step up from killer at least.

I think we're going round in circles here. All this arguing and we're all sticking to our guns, we aren't going to change each other's minds.

Dear Clark Joseph Kent,

Please return to us, and bring Hope back with you, we are in dire need of it!

Yours hopefully,

Miss Lois Lane.

I'm pretty sure he just doesn't want the guy shooting. After all, Lois is still there; she's not entirely safe.

I think he understands Superman more than Snyder.

It does seem that way. I'm curious about what he thinks about his character's portrayal in BvS. He can't really be too candid about that in interviews considering it's part of his job to sell Snyder's take on things. I'm not saying he's disappointed in his role, but I am curious.

THIS!

At this point it's gonna need Henry to come out of his lurking mode and say " I, Superman didn't kill him" :o

Superman has godlike powers...i.e superspeed, invulnerability...so why couldn't he have disarmed the warlord some other way than smashing him through several walls?

There was someone in the next building that needed a beating too. Two birds, one stone.

The superspeed charge is Cavill's signature move.

He loves to kill people obviously
he just had to humilliate him before the murder

So, there no difference between Superman and Flash ?

Um, Lex would be using the death of a WARLORD that I imagine has committed a decent number of atrocities against Superman? No, whats being used against him isnt the murder of the henchmen, its the void left behind.

There wouldnt be much sympathy for the warlord, his approval would probably go up in the snyderverse :oldrazz:.

It wouldn't make much sense, seeing as how they just met, but I wish Bruce had a line [BLACKOUT]at the funeral, where he said word for word, or similar to the line from Superman/Batman - "It is a remarkable dichotomy. In many ways, Clark is the most human of us all. Then…he shoots fire from the skies, and it is difficult not to think of him as a god. And how fortunate we all are that it does not occur to him."[/BLACKOUT]
