That looks like Wallace Keefe's home.

I liked the film, i am ignoring the plot holes, stupid decisions etc, but reading these forums just highlights how great this film could have been, which is depressing.

Yep, so that was probably cut because if Lois knew Keefe had a bomb, she should have been able to alert superman beforehand.

Really? Last I heard Lois was with Steve Trevor and Clark was with Diana. I gave up entirely when Lois revealed Superman's identity to the world and everyone was hating on her. You may have guessed that I am somewhat fond of and protective of the character :cwink: Anyway, I'll have another go after the 'rebirth'. And because I've been derailing quite a bit in this thread...

^^ lets hope coming back as Clark, getting his job at the DP back and being at peace with the world and himself are some of them :yay:

I think Perry White knows Clark is Superman. It's why he allow Lois to get the chopper to go to gothem.

Someone send this pics to Zack and WB exe. The fans want this superman back.

They also did an awful job contrasting Batman and Superman. They were supposed to be the day and night, black and blue, meh, they were both dark, even Metropolis was dark and gloomy. Where was the sunny Metropolis of the turkish airlines promos?

This was a perfect oportunity to show a happy Superman, can't believe they wasted it!

Everyone knows everyones identity in this damn universe, it seems.

Fan petition for a lighter Superman... I don't mind going the Dr. Manhattan route with the character if the outcome is he becomes an optimist rather than a nihilist.

they should of just got duncan jones because he wanted to do the same thing with superman and he is a better film maker than snyder
"It all worked out, though. It probably worked against me, but my pitch for a Superman film would be to take the Dr. Manhattan character from Watchmen, which I think is the best encompassing version of what Superman should be, this incredible sort of alien presence with superhuman powers who is so over powerful compared to the rest of humanity that he doesn’t understand how to relate to people. And I thought that’s what Superman should be, but they got Zack Snyder in there and he already knows how to do that."

Why do people expect Superman to change at this point? He's going to be resurrected and super chipper all of a sudden? With Snyder still behind the wheel?

I have next to no hope that will be the case.

It's funny that Zack did Watchmen and couldn't even do that right. I honestly thought that's the direction they were taking Superman in the film at first [blackout](the Senate hearing bombing being the catalyst like Manhattan's wife dying of questioning if he's a danger to humanity, and starts isolating himself and it takes the compassion of Bruce sparing his life and saving Martha and Lois's love to remind him why he is Superman)[/blackout], but then it just got muddled in the second act.

After those dream and flashforward sequences, yea, it seems he gonna be even darker.

People cried and cried for a superman that moves danger from populated areas(or at least a filmmaker that does). Given doomsday can't fly this seemed pretty easy to achieve. Safe to say they got it, I have to imagine that wasn't enough to please people on superman.
Hopefully when they make him 'smile more', it won't be the next thing to complain about.

Warning, 'Watchmen' spoilers below:

I mentioned Dr Manhattan myself earlier, and it just frustrates me that if Snyder had to go down that route, Dr Manhattan realised through Laurie that not only her life, but every human life was significant.

Giving Supes a 'thermodynamic miracles' realisation like this and, as you said, Bruce showing compassion (and Diana entering the battle even though she had no reason to) could have given him renewed hope. Have it end on a positive note with all three deciding to set up the Justice League - hence 'Dawn of Justice'.

Thinking back to Snyder's adaptation of 'Watchmen', changing the ending to make it look like the catastrophe was DM's fault is depressingly in line with Superman in BvS. It's like he took only the bad parts of DM's arc and added them, plus his own ending for DM, onto Superman and threw all the positive things about DM out of the window. :csad:

I actually agree with this assessment. I'm 110 percent okay with a frowny Superman, just as long as the optimistic Superman is the one we see in JL.

If he is that Superman in JL I will feel glad we got a nuke up of the character rather than one who had it all figured out from day one.

Now that's not something I have a problem with in the Donner film, it's of its time but now I think the way story telling has gone they can't do that anymore.

Yes because all Superman fans want for the character is to not cause destruction and to smile. Heaven forfend that MoS should go so far to establish that although he is conflicted, Superman is the epitome of Hope and have the film end on a joyful tone, then have the sequel give him very little to be hopeful or joyful about. I suppose we should just be grateful they let him play a supporting role to Batman in his own movie, right? :whatever:

What I'm fearing is that, all this time being "dead" makes him even more unsure and doubtful of his place in the world.

What if he comes back with PTSD, and gets even more depressed or terribly broody

And might I add that it would add more weight to the Injustice subplot as his optimism which was assisted from new friendship, maternal love, and romantic love would dwindle if one of them would die in a tragic way.
