BvS Henry Cavill IS Superman - - - - - - - - - - - - Part 26

That's being a mushy boyfriend. Which was cool for one scene. Flirty is being challenging, having a rapport.

I concur.I find TAS Superman pretty much in line with Cavill's.I believe now that the world is behind him,and he has grown so much,he will be even more-so like TAS Superman.I'm giddy at the thought of it :)

Make it happen,Zack :D

Zack will listen to us,we will definitely get a TAS Superman.

I heard that Batman in SS is B:TAS personified,so I expect Supes to follow suit in JL.

Those who make the claim have the burden of proof not the other way around.

Exactly.

:funny: What? You're getting ridiculous now.

This is why many BvS defenders are always getting banned or put on probation. They can't be mature, especially when they are faced with legit arguments they can't disprove.

Zack will listen to us,we will definitely get a TAS Superman.

Oh but according to Binker, who apparently only speaks facts not opinions (you really ought to change that sig), Snyder should not listen to fanboys.

Snyder doesn't have to,he knows what has to be done. He knows what's best for the movie and he will do accordingly and I believe in Zack.

But you just said "Zack will listen to us". So if he supposedly knows what's best, why would he need to listen to you?

Thank you. I tend to have that effect on BvS fans. Usually happens when I pitch them valid arguments they can't refute ;)

6/10 is a very generous score for a movie you say you hated.

You like the movie. My point is proven. It's only people who like the movie who find posts challenging it's quality annoying. That's why several have been banned or put on probation lately. Can't keep it civil. Have to make it personal.

This is going to be rough, because I'm hurrying out to work and don't have time to write a proper response--

He's gone through crap in the comics and other movies, too. Doesn't mean he needs to be reduced to a monotonous, po-faced bore... He's supposed to be Superman, after all.

All this has been done successfully before, while keeping his spirit well-and-truly in tact. He's gone through a lot of stuff.

Also, again-- Why does relability automatically have to turn him into what he was in BvS? There's a wider spectrum of emotion than that. Superman's not meant to be EVERYBODY-- He's SUPERMAN. Put him through the crap he goes through in BvS, he should react as Superman would (yes, he's allowed to be sad and even annoyed now and then). I watch the movie/read the books to see what HE'S going to do, now what you/me/joe schmoe would react. This Superman is out-of-character (admitted by both Snyder and Cavill, due to some idiotic notion that he needs to evolve into the real Superman... over the course of three long movies)... And the one they've got in his place is one dimensional and boring.

Look at the first two Reeve movies. He was damn near all powerful, he was a friendly, smiley guy... He still went through an emotional journey in them. You can have it both ways. The audiences ate them up.

Same with many of the more iconic books-- aka For All Seasons, All-Star Superman.

Agreed with all of this.

MOS and BvS and the rest of the DCEU: accept it and shut it!

lol that so childish.

Zack will listen to us,we will definitely get a TAS Superman.

If Zack Snyder listen to fans his movies would not be so unpopular.

and i gave the theatrical cut a 5 or 6/10 and i hated the movie

i went form hate to like and i have changed it back to a 7.5/10

So wait you like the ultimate cut less than the theatrical cut?

more than beautiful...

What movie is this from, cause it aint from this one. Zack's Superman is dark and un-heroic and don't save nobody....oh wait. :sly:

Superman in the JL cartoon is not a super smiley guy all the time, but he still feels like Superman and has a good sense of humor. He's got personality. That's something Superman was missing in this movie.

JL/JLU Supes is proof that you don't have to portray Superman the way Snyder does to get a "flawed" Superman. Like you said, that Supes had a personality and a range of different emotions. And George Newbern didn't portray him with such wooden delivery.

What do you mean by wooden? I never thought Cavill was a bad actor, nor bad as Superman. Plus, I enjoyed him from Man from UNCLE.

Also, IDK why, but when it comes with the DCAU versions of the characters, I have a dislike for them. Espeically Batman, Wonder Woman, GL, and Superman. And given what they did to Superman with Rebirth, I'd wish they pull a Rebirth on those characters.

Cavill is good actor in other movies, he just give wooden performance playing Superman.

disagree 100% i think he is phenomenal and gives the character a relatable quality and has tons of humanity

George Newbern was wooden in season one of Justice League, then got exceptionally good.

I could only consider Henry wooden if they gave him actual Superman'y behavior and he just fumbled with it. Through MOS and especially in BVS, his marching orders seemed to be "Brood... brood... glare at the members of congress... barely give a **** when they're blown to bits... brood... soften up around Lois... just a little bit! Not too much, *****!!!"
