Shooting the final scene of the #HIMYM finale right now. Potential "last line of the series" ad lib battle is brewing.
(Just to be clear, we're shooting this episode out of order. We don't finish shooting until next friday.)

We just shot our last scene in the #HIMYM apartment...so that happened.

Gonna watch the entire last series before the finale. It's never been a show I've watched in any order other than the random one e4 puts them on in England, but I'm definitely a fan.

So most of the episode this week felt a bit like filler, but I liked the parts with the mother. I think Cristin Milioti is very cute.

Really? I thought this was a great episode. It didn't feel filler at all. Quite the contrary, it felt like a lot of great character development.

Well we know now that Barney and Robin do end up getting married.

We knew that before this.

And tonight was a great one. Good moments and it got lots of laughs out of me. Loved the bacon bit.

So maybe the reason Ted is telling the story because the Mother is coming back from a book tour.

Perhaps.

Also, did anyone else catch that they had Lily looking all old-agey during the 2020 flashforward, but looking like she does today when she and Marshall were taking Marvin to college?

Wasn't the Judge flash foward 2030? I can't remember exactly, but I thought it was farther in the future than the flashback with Marvin in college.

Also, was anybody else almost super excited with the baby thing with Robin and Barney? I thought for a moment that they had adopted/found a way to conceive. But at the same time, they were talking like they had a kid, it just took Robin a moment to realize it wasn't hers. Of course, I also wasn't sure if that was just them playing that moment for the joke. What did you guys think?

2030 would've been when they were taking Marvin to college, since he was born in 2012.

Also loved the Lily/Robin thing resolving itself with their role reversal after the kiss.

Once again, they showed the kids last night as Ted is telling they story.

They looked bored to me.

They must be bored after such a long-winded story. Plus it's just recycled footage.

If I spent 9 years sitting on a couch listening to my Dad tell the story of how he met my mom I'd look pretty bored too.

It was always a fun bit throughout the series, but I just remembered, didn't they kiss in season 1? When Lily was freaking out about all of the things she never had, like a lesbian experience?

It was only a taste. Lily needed more.

Last nights episode was great. Loved the fake weekend at Barney's bit. Ted and bacon had me cracking up. Marshall's acceptance speech was hilarious

What was the year that bookended the episode where Ted and the Mother were celebrating a book?

The bacon bit made the episode.

It made me crave bacon. Then, I got pissed because I didn't have any.

Rushing off to the store, around 8:40, simply to grab a pack of applewood bacon is a funny thing.

(paraphrasing)

"Its like my mom had the map to heaven and never showed me the way."--Ted Mosby on having bacon for the first time.

This made me LOL.

It's funny because me and my group of friends have been having discussions lately about who we would each be, and I've always said I'm a Ted, and the whole bacon bit solidified that because I recently told my friends that I've never had bacon before. They all gave me the same look that Marshall and the chef gave.
