The Amazing Spider-Man 2 How should the Goblin look???

I was about to say, I don't think anyone would have freaked out if he had a hat and the green of his skin could be seen better. The image Levitikuz posted pretty much proves it. He looks like a Goblin, but the lack of a hat is throwing people off. I quite like it, but I want a better image or to possibly see him in action to get a better idea.

Saw this on Twitter, thought you guys would like it:

It really doesn't matter to me if he has a sock on his head or not.

Maybe instead of the "sock", he could wear a helmet for protection, that looks similar to Loki's helmet. Minus the horns of course. I just like the elongated look it has at the back.

Basically like the idea behind this piece of artwork.

Can't say I dig the design of the Goblin so far. Not very....goblinish. Looks like a repeat of New Goblin from Spider-Man 3.

somehow reminds me of something, what was it, what was it??????

Which I think is the point. I doubt this is 'The Green Goblin', but a precursor to Norman.

It certainly looks more like [blackout]Garfield[/blackout] than [blackout]DeHaan[/blackout].

probably not the first to say, but at first glance i thought he looked like billy idol :D

certainly different to how i thought the face looked in the blurry poster pic when it was first shown, i'll remain open minded til i see it in motion when the trailer comes out officially

It's the [blackout]GREEN GARFIELD! :wow:[/blackout]

No you di'int....

If that's the case well then, alright. All is forgiven. It's not a bad design, just don't call it Green Goblin.

If this was The Green Goblin, I'd be underwhelmed. Though the reboot moves in a different direction to the Raimi series.

Raimi - Green Goblin, Harry 'Goblin'
Webb - Harry 'Goblin', Green Goblin

wasn't there a rumor of proto goblin for the first movie?

Yes, Kafka was suppose to be him. That's why I think Harry has whitish reddish hair. He's suppose to be Proto-Goblin and Norman will be the real Green Goblin.

However, I'm worried that Norman might not be the one to kill Gwen. :(

Have to say I'm still unconvinced the head sock would look good in live action. That manip looks pretty cheap too. Can't say I see the same thing some of you guys see. Same with the Raimi GG prototype. The armour is interesting and I don't mind a more Gobliny face, but the ears and the goofy headsock really ruin it. I'm not that fond of the eyes either. The concept art for it looked miles better than the realisation imo.

New theory! The Goblin isn't Harry, but actually a genetically manipulated clone of Peter, created by Miles Warren.

It depends on how they carry Gwen's death out. It could make Norman into an even bigger monster if he manipulates Harry into doing it.

People seem to forget that there are different variations of GG's "sockhead". Even if you think the "sock" wouldn't work, there is at least one variation of the hat that would.
