The Dark Knight http://www.whysoserious.com/kickingandscreening/

Btw, 42 recently stated that they wont be at the theaters (at least thats what I got from it), so swag will probably be WB promo shirts or posters or something that they raffle.. Like I've said, the free screening is a good enough gift to me...

So many people keep saying this and yet the swag debate goes on :whatever:

I agree though, I'm stoked to just see the movie.

hey .. can someone who won tickets to the woodridge il theater send me a quick email? I got some questions and i dont feel like posting them .. Id really appreciate it! thanks bunches!

ok, duke, electric, i apologize for going on an unwarranted rant. i deserve your hatred toward me and i'm better a man to know i went overboard. you guys got tickets and i didn't. i acted like a whining girl and i'm a dick for it, again accept my apology. i don't expect anyone here to let me in with them and i accept that. i extend the olive branch and let just bygones be bygones. everyone have fun and i'll see some of you 3 days later.

Linwood

Apology accepted and I still say go to the thread of the city you want to see it in and ask nicely if someone has nobody to take on tuesday and you might get lucky.

it's cool duke, i don't want to ruin the sheer geekness these ppl will have when i see them in Gotham. i can wait.

Some people accidentally got two tickets for themselves, other people think that if they complain to 42 that they will get a ticket, other people want to beg for swag. Thats the usual reason people contact them... Me? I'm just good at memorizing numbers....
LOL

I agree that's crap. I only grabbed one ticket just because I wanted everyone to have a fair chance. I mean, I'm still not sure why so many people who claimed to be following the virals so close for so long would miss out (unless their computers failed). Like Yoda is in the chatroom every day, and I'm wondering how he failed to get one. I wasn't even in the chatroom or the forums when it all went down because I was too busy trying to figure out the message... and I still got a ticket 10 minutes after the address was discovered (I suppose it also depends on the location, though).

I didn't get one because I was working, unfortunately...but I do have 2 peeps that are willing to let me go with them... you just gotta be nice about it. :) I was just miffed that I missed the final puzzle! :P

I got the first ticket for my area. I just happened to be at GCN when it happened. and well the board was crashed or something

I wish I was here for the puzzle, my internet was sucking so I couldn't get on untill after the final site was found.

Well, at least you admit to being elitist...

Yeah...I'm well aware that the resentment I feel toward newbs who got tickets is kind of uncalled for, if that makes any newbs who got tickets feel better. (And I'm not alone. I mean you may be getting crap, but the fact is basically that you could only have gotten tickets if you were right on top of overture when it happened--even if you WERE new to the game up until that point--so I will grudgingly admit you fairly earned them. Plus, it appears to me that there were enough tickets to cover the people who've been playing constantly for whom attendance is do-able, thanks to the confusion over admit two.)

I'm really just annoyed by people who are really honestly gonna try to get in by e-mailing 42e, and Warner Bros, and begging. Look, we all had to work to get these tickets (I mean, some more than others, sure--some of us have been around since the beginning, some for several months, and some just showed up Thursday but at least they got the things fair and square and they're probably kind of regretting that they didn't find out about this thing sooner because it is way fun), and it frustrates me that people are going to try to circumvent a system put in place to...reward the people who DID take that time. I mean that's what this is. Publicity stunt in some ways (moreso if they do something crazy at the screenings), but I think more than anything, awarding hundreds if not thousands of tickets to the first people who can get their hands on them is an act that appears to me one of kindness and above all gratitude and I hate that people are trying to sully that by just asking. (I hate it because I fear that it may somehow accidentally work, and I swear if I see one person who worked really hard to get this ticket get turned away or even a terrible seat just because some clueless theater employee lets them in...I'll beat the crap out of the perpetrators of this injustice. Or at least verbally abuse them and make them feel really bad because I don't want to get kicked out.)

Obviously registering the same name/email would get a denial, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with using the same IP address as long as all of the info was populated correctly.

Incorrect. It's already been confirmed that theaters WILL NOT be denying ANY tickets with duplicate names.

Yeah, definitely not on. Nowhere does it say 'limit one' ticket (it only says the ticket is only good for two entry--although it's debatable according to the rules whether they'd deny you a duplicate name but I see above this is false), and definitely nowhere does it say one per household. If the IP address thing were true--and frankly it would be ridiculous if so and no theater would be up to tracking that--it would essentially bar members of the same household from receiving tickets, EVEN if they were both playing the game the whole time, when their only crime is sharing a connection.

I do agree it is bogus that some people registered for so many tickets, but frankly there was only so much time so there's only so many tickets, and I see a lot of the people who got extra offering, and also, to be fair, nobody seemed to realize they were admit two till it was over. I mean I got an extra one for my friend who was gonna go to the midnight showing with me because I didn't realize. (And it turned out well, 'cause Yoda didn't get one and I've got space.)

Haha, ah byte - it's all good. I am naturally a dick so I had a dick response.

I didn't see that it was confirmed they wouldn't be denying tickets with duplicate names -that's interesting. I wonder if 42e is open on Sundays, I didn't get a response via email about retrieving my lost ticket - maybe I should just call.
