The Dark Knight Rises Hugo Strange

Yeah Guard needs to stop triple posting. He's just trying to show us his e-peen. Some men just want to watch the world burn:nono:

Obviously, why else would be be referencing Hugo Strange? Then he will taste venom and become Bane!:wow:

And as we all know, Bane is actually Agent Smith and Gotham City is the Matrix!

I don't see what's so supposedly stupid and facepalm-worthy of thinking that Morgan Freeman's reference to the armor working against cats was a subtle nod to Catwoman for fans.

Then you're not a real Batman fan, he's still in this movie.

No,I like Batman...but I confess that I like Christian Bale more. :woot:
But if it´s Hugo and Catwoman(:barf:),I really won´t watch the movie.
With a big pain in my heart because of Christian, but I won´t watch...neither for him. :csad:

I don't either. Regardless of what people what to think, when I saw it for the first time in the theater with dedicated fans, there was a audible noise after Lucius' line about cats. People obviously took it as a subtle nod...not that she would definitely be in the next one.

Did you see TDK? How did Rachel Dawes possibly live up to your standards enough to see it? I'm sure you did though. :whatever:

On another note, the PREY storyline is going nuts on ebay and other places now. MyComicShop.com is completely sold out of those issues! People are snatching up it! I've been outbid like 5 time nows on ebay. :csad: The real annoying thing is that sellers are now putting it's been CONFIRMED that TDKR will be based off the storyline. I don't remember anything being confirmed!

I hate when stuff that like happens. Reminds me of the Movie Master Joker fiasco...$100 for a Joker action figure before the market could get saturated enough, except this hasn't been reprinted yet.

So if you want PREY and you find it at a decent price, grab it with your bat-claws!

I think the facepalms are more a result of the notion that Fox's line was a clue that Catwoman will be in film three. A subtle nod, maybe, but you can't deduce that she's in the next movie over that line.

Still, my smart assery was directed at the fellow who suggested that Strange was hinted at in the Joker's line from the end of the bank robbery scene. That's comical.

Sure.

Sure doesn't sound like you trust in Nolan to me, even though you tell everyone to (so long as he picks "I miss my daddy!" Talia. :whatever:) You remind me of those people who were all, "I WON'T SEE THIS MOVIE BECAUSE CRISPIN GLOVER ISN'T JOKER!!!" but they sang a different tune when the trailer came out. :funny:

Yes it is that people are trying to put it in context of the story and saying that line is what tells us she will be in the next film...

Does Lucius Fox know something we don't? Has he encountered Catwoman and is trying to warn Batman?

Same for the Strange reference. Does the Joker know Hugo Strange and is subliminally telling Batman he will be his next threat?

Actually, Crispin Glover's father has said he still hasn't seen the movie. He will boycott until Nolan recasts Crispin as Joker.

Who can blame him? It would be a huge improvement if they CGI'd Crispin Glover's face over Heath Ledger's!

That's too good! :funny:

Where are the Sons of Crispins Father group when you need them.:woot:

Is everyone just assuming hugo strange will be the villain?

^ Pretty much, but it does seem to be a logical fit.

It's the rumor, but everyone knows it's not set in stone. It's just what people are going on until there's evidence to the contrary. The most popular theory seems to be that the villains will be Strange and Catwoman.

I admit I miss the Riddler talk.

I'm taking nothing for granted. At this stage, Hugo Strange is simply my personal top choice, rather than me thinking him any more or less likely than the other probable choices.

Yeah, now I've come to totally dig the idea of Strange being the villain.

I will laugh my ass off if Deacon Blackfire is in this.

Now now, the folks over in the Deacon Blackfire thread don't spend their time talking about how sucky Hugo Strange is, so let's return the same courtesy on here. :cwink:

Having read Prey, and based on what I've heard about The Cult, it actually seems like Hugo Strange and Deacon Blackfire represent a similar threat to Batman, breaking him down on a psychological, almost existential level. I definitely think that TYPE of villain - whoever it ends up being - is the best type of antagonist for Batman to face in this film.

Definitely 100% agree. I really think it will be one of the two. Or both, who the hell knows.
