The Dark Knight Rises Hugo Strange

Lol, we've pretty much got the trailer in every thread. That is a badass Hugo Strange!

Hugo Strange in that trailer sounds like Christopher Lee. Crap, if Hardy is Strange in the next film, he's got his work cut out for him. One does not simply top Christopher Lee.

If Talia is really in (as her name keeps getting brought up in the rumor mill) then I only suspect they're merging her with Selina Kyle (like they did Ducard and Ra's); I can't see them both in the same movie and I certainly can't see Talia carrying it on her own.

I wouldn´t be surprised if they do this...merging Talia with Selina(it really wouldn´t be a bad idea.)
But as the same person of course, but not Talia AND Selina.
I think Talia will be in it anyway with or without merging her with Catwoman.
I agree with you at this point.
:yay:

If someone was smart they should use what Hugo said at the end of the AC trailer and could use it for a TDKR teaser.. Just saying :woot:

I hated that video game trailer. Almost unbearably cheesy and mustache twirling. Hopefully ARKHAM CITY has more in store.

Incidentally, I just got a scanner.

And I own PREY.

Two completely seperate occurrences.

For those who wanted some screen caps :)

Get to work, then :cmad:.

As for the trailer, I liked the way Strange said, "Extraordinary, isn't he?"

Same here. The voice over was well done.

"Because I know everything about you. Your darkest secret..your ultimate weakness. I know you are Bruce Wayne."

So intense, anyone against Strange for Batman 3 villain just got shut out. I hope all this 'prey' influence stuff turns out to be true and we get a Strange similar to this one in the new movie.

I think Strange as the villain could turn out brilliantly.

If strange was the planned villain nolan's had in mind why would he go for hardy to play him? Strange by all accounts in a balding middle aged man who is not particularly good looking.

Even in that pretty good manic posted above with a bald and bearded tom something seems off like its pretty obvious he's just a good looking guy with a shaved bald head. I don't think anyone would try to cast a handsome actor to portray the penguin?

Strange sounded crappy in the AA trailer, to me. I loved the way he looks, though.

This is going to be way too bizarre if hugo strange ends up as the main villain of both arkham city and batman 3.

I mean hugo flipping strange? twice?

It does seem a bit much if that's the case. I doubt it was intentional synergy at least.

Why would Nolan cast Heath Ledger, a heartthrob, as a villain who is typically depicted as being incredibly skinny and having a long, pointed nose?

Answer: He was the best for the role.

If Hardy is Strange, it is most certainly for the same reason. Nolan felt he was the best man for the job.

hardy would probably bring the energy and charisma to hugo strange that an older actor couldn't. Heath ledger had a very exciting electricity about him when playing the joker, because it's batman's younger days and he's just starting out.

I checked out The Batman Chronicles Vol. 1 from my local library recently. Coincidentally, this volume contains a few Hugo Strange stories, one of which apparently going on to become what appears to be a very popular novel, Batman and the Monster Men. It occured to me while reading the story that, owing to the human growth formula/toxin/whatever involved, Strange could be paired to great effect with Bane in a future film.

That's all.

hugo strange, bane, and catwoman. there is massive story potential there. even I could get behind that.

I loved the trailer but I can sort of understand the criticism too. In a way it was rather villain cliche in what you would expect from a Christopher Lee type bad guy.

Okay I'm no longer disappointed in hugo strange playing a big part in arkham city, because I realized what they're doing is bringing back the scarecrow parts without scarecrow, and on crack this time.
