I Am Number Four

I kind of have to agree. I mean, the guy looks like he was created in a lab somewhere, that's how good looking he is. But given that, I think he would make a fantastic Warren Worthington III, should X3 officially be ignored (and it should).

damn dissing the lead because he is good looking lol

guy has to be ugly to feel for him or something

look at james franco/brandon routh/james marsden/josh duhamel/mark whalberg/ were all models before acting and you guys have no problems with feeling for them

Well, I can't really say too much about him since I don't know. But he does come off as..generic!

the trailer looks pretty cool... im interested.

i like the director too, and that scarlette johansen looking chick

Haha, that "dude is too attractive" thing is what some of youse were saying about Garfield regarding Spidey. Hot dudes don't have problems. Take it from one who knows. :awesome:

He just looks too perfect. I look at him and I couldn't give a **** about who he is and what he does/ because I don't believe in his struggle whatever the hell it is. He looks perfect and it can all be solved with that. How am I suppose to feel for a guy who looks like that?

Oh, yeah. Because people coming after you to kill you will take one look at you and say "Oooh! He's so perfect-looking! Let's not kill him, guys!" if you looked like him :whatever:

Just got this book from the library. I'll probably start reading it tomorrow at work. Hahaha

Looks interesting. The premise alone would probably make for a decent tv show.

Looks promising-ish. Nice to see Dianna Agron in something other than Glee and it looks like her role is more actiony than I expected.
i think this was Teresa Palmer. she is number 6.

i agree.

he looks way to much like a supermodel and i think this is a wrong look for movies.

the reason i am disappointed is because i thought that this movie is about some small aliens coming to earth. i guess i mixed up with some other movie. so its my own fault.

the movie just looks way to generic for 2011. we saw 250 000 movies like this. we have now the technology to make aliens look like aliens with a small budget. there is no reason for human looking aliens anymore.

I don't get the complaints about the lead being too handsome and how apparently supermodels and beautiful people don't have problems.

Uh, have you guys watched movies in Hollywood? Almost all actors and actresses are beautiful, handsome or attractive. I've never seen a more illogical thing to hold against an actor in this day and age than the fact that he's TOO handsome. I could see if it the role called for him to be a hideously deformed person or something, but really? That's what you're holding against him? Not his acting or anything else?

But yay for Dianna Agron getting a role in this.

in a way it looks similar to Jumper.

and it feels like the first episode of a scifi tv series.

well the book was written like that

who said that they had to do a movie based on this book? ;)

Plus the whole concept is that they look like humans thus why they come to earth so they can blend in...which isnt a problem with me.

Look at the guy. He's fit as hell, and Sawyer said it well, looks like he was made into a lab. His looks and body are pretty much perfect. I don't see him as a guy who has problems. He's just not a believable protagonist. How am I suppose to care and follow him when a guy looks like that? Now people like Arnold or Sly are guys who I could never be. But they had personality and likeability to boot.

Like when he played Alex Rider. Alex is supposed to be a normal 14 year old kid who's uncle happens to be a spy and then is plunged into a world of espionage. He ****s up and makes mistakes and is flawed, but cool and a boy that age like myself could see or wished I were in those situations. I look at Petyfer he looks like he already has his problems sorted out for him.

i am sorry but that has got to be the dumbest reason to dislike the lead

the dude is an alien who escaped from his planet and is being hunted down to be killed the way he looks should not be judged when he is in that type of situation

It really is a VERY dumb reason to dislike a lead. You must not like a lot of leads in Hollywood movies, because he beautiful people must have everything sorted out because they are beautiful.

Eh, sci-fi for Twilight people?

Also, reminded me a lot of Roswell, the tv show.

Its funny because if its a very attractive female lead most dont care. Its mostly just for male leads. In all honesty I sense jealousy

Teaser was kinda cool. There wasn't a whole hell of lot to sample however. Like some have said, it may seem a bit generic, but Bay and Spielberg are attached, so I at least have some high hopes for some interesting action.

Also, I'd like to thank the guys that brought up the argument about the lead being too good looking. You've opened my eyes. I've thought long and hard about it, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna skip Batman 3. At first I was ignorant to this problem, but like I said, you'e opened my eyes. Now that I've thought about it, I just don't think it will be possible for me to feel or connect emotionally with someone as good looking as Bale. Honestly, how could someone that good looking be the dark, tormented, emotional Batman? Sheer ridiculousness. I can't believe I even bought into it in the first place. I'm not sure how, but I need to find a way to get all my money spent on BB and TDK back in my pocket, and hold on to it until Nolan casts an uglier Bruce. And don't even get me started about how cheated I feel now that I've reconsidered Inception and its main star. :o

Just messing...don't kill me. :hrt: :woot:
