Look we were lucky one of Paul's OCs made it into the comics. Roxy Rocket being the greatest of them all. :o

I like the idea of Hugo Strange and Night Scourge (Sgt Max Cort) in Reeves’ universe. Or call him Reaper if you want.

Been one of my favorite ideas for a while.

Hugo Strange and another more well-known villain to serve the Night Scourge role.

I get what you're saying here and mostly I would agree, but why not wait until superman comes out in order to make that decision and disclose it publicly.

If superman fails at the box office, you don't have to tie your batverse that is successful to it and just continue on with the party line that it's separate. You can have your cake and eat it too.

It's not like it's a decision that needs to be made right now anyways. The batman sequel and brave and the bold are years away at this point.
Been saying this for awhile now. It just makes sense to me

If Superman is great, then it makes the most sense in the world to combine Reeves verse and the DCU. I honestly don't get why some people feel like Reeves won't have creative freedom if that happens. Gunn has been nothing but supportive of his vision.

Yeah, I also think it's possible that both takes merges later.

From what I get through interviews and declarations, Gunn's DCU doesn't feel like it's going the Marvel route with every films pretty much sharing the same sensibility.
The only prerequisite he care about is the script's quality. From there, save for projects he's closely monitoring (like Supergirl), every director is pretty much free to put his stamp.

And like I said some times ago, I believe it will be (and should be) the role of the cross-over movie to do what it takes to merge everything if needed. It got the star power, so it can make the effort for this kind of concession and leave everything else alone.
In the end, things doens't feel like it can cross-over until it does... It's ultimately all on the talent of the creatives involved to make it work.

With Reeves recent statement, don't you guys think he's still working in the script to fit in the DCU? Besides his personal issues? I don't know, his answer was very vague imo. Anything could happen now, I think. We've seen weirder things.

I don't think Reeves will write anything to fit into the DCU. Since Gunn has other writers tapped for his Batman...I believe both entities will be separate. Reeves will shock us with a villain we are not expecting and a new twist of where the story is going.

Hugo is the one that came to my mind after seeing that quote. From what I've seen, he hasn't really gotten that much speculation online compared to some of the others.
I believe Hugo would make the most sense. He basically could be crafted to run things and push Joker and riddler's buttons. Deeper corruption could even entail Black Mask's intro.

I don't think either, but he didn't deny this time, like before. So it looks like he's more open minded and maybe, maybe it will happen in the future.

Since Gunn is always on social media like a sniper taking aim at anything that comes across his radar. Correct me if I am wrong , but I am surprise that he hasn’t made any comments on what Reeves said.

Villains that would genuinely surprise me:
Bane
Black Mask
Deacon Blackfire
Mad Hatter
Reaper/Phantasm
Poison Ivy
Two-Face
Victor Zsasz

Villains that would mildly surprise me:
Clayface
Mr. Freeze
Scarecrow

Villains that would not surprise me:
Court of Owls
Hush
Joker

While I don't think he's writing the script to specifically fit into the DCU, I do think he won't fight the idea of Battinson being the DCU's version of Batman .

He may have resisted , at first, but now , it seems like he basically wants to finish his story, but without the prerequisite , that Battinson can't be apart of the DCU.

In other words, he's not doing a Christopher Nolan " My Batman story is finite, and is in it's own isolated universe ".

I think that’s exactly it. Sort of a “do whatever you want after I’m done” type thing

Why not multiple villains? Arkham inmates escaped afte the end of The Batman and Batman hunts them

Haha, who cares what Andy Musichietto says at this point. There is no script to this movie. Even if there was, they aren't going to have the director of one of their biggest box office bombs direct, arguably, their most valuable IP.

At least this avoids James Gunn having to respond right away.

Court of Owls makes the most sense since Reeves is going down the corruption road, he just started to tap into it with the first film.
