I could see Universal going after Nolan since they are in need of a major hitmaker in the worst way.

Not really. Despite Paul Walker's death i don't think they will stop making the F &F movies. Plus the Despicable Me movies have made them alot of money. However with Tull now partnering with Universal , there could be chance of Tull funding a Nolan movie and Universal distributing the flick

From what I understand, there's a little bit of both. The time travel elements are more tied to time dilation via Einstein's theory of relativity which is associated with space travel. I guess you could say that space travel plays a larger role overall, but my understanding is both are important.

Yeah, it was. The best is part it doesn't have those identifiable qualites of a Zimmer score. I know it's only a minute and a half, but so far, it appears that Zimmer really meant what he said when this will be different from what he's done.

Yes, I saw this with the Hobbit DOS and wondered, what the hell was that about? They will have to do a lot better to get me to see this movie.

I like that it's different from the more bombastic sound we got in Batman and Inception. They weren't kidding when they said they wanted to go a different direction this time. Very glad to hear a different sound.

I'm kind of curious to see if there's any percussion at all. I think it would be a very unique viewing experience - and way outside Zimmer's wheelhouse - if we were to see action set pieces without drums. Action scenes that are purely based on emotions and ambient soundscapes.

I still found it recognizably Zimmer-ish, just the softer, more piano-driven Zimmer. The stirring melodies felt like him to me anyway. But I am definitely also glad to see him getting away from some of his bombastic tropes a bit for this one. Sounds promising.

I recently saw the Spike Jonze movie Her, and one of the things that definitely struck me about it was the gorgeous cinematography. Just happened to find out now that it was shot by Hoyte van Hoytema.

I think we're definitely in good hands with Interstellar.

The music in the trailer was pretty awesome. Reminded me a bit of Daft Punks score for Tron Legacy which I think Zimmer helped out a bit too.

Does anybody know what the proportion of this film's scenes will be in Imax? TDKR was about 40% and those scenes looked beautiful, i'd love it for this film to be over that, preferably over 50%.

They haven't said how much they filmed in Imax yet but they had a Imax camera on every set picture I saw.
