Leah: I just wrapped up shooting on ‘Interstellar’ by Christopher Nolan I signed confidentially agreements so there’s not much i can say.

Aaron: You’re just a big giant tease, aren’t you?

Leah; I am. Basically what i can talk about is what’s already on the internet, nobody even has character names yet.

Aaron: You play an elderly Korean man don’t you?

Leah: Ssshhhh. It’s the sequel to Cloud Atlas. It’s a sci-fi movie and it’s about a wormhole. It’s gonna be awesome.

Q: What’s it like to work with Christopher Nolan and is there a director you would like to work with in the future?

Leah: After working with Christopher Nolan, i would like to work with him again in the future. The guy is a genuis.He was 3 and a half days ahead of schedule by the time we wrapped up the first 3 weeks of shooting. My very first day i was supposed to be in the last scene and i was on set and in rehearsal at 10.30am in the morning. He knows exactly what he wants, he’ll have people firing question after question and he’d have an answer for every single one. I think he might be a little bit of a method Director, he’s in the mode, mellow, calm, creative and he’s just unbelievable.

Given Inception made $825 million based on a very complicated subject I wouldn't put it past Interstellar to do it.

Better chance for longer legs as well. Look at Frozen and Skyfall for instance, both had great legs well after their release.

Anne is funny and knows how to promote a film. 'McConaissance'.

I only know the barest of details but it does seem to be Nolan's most ambitious film yet.

I'd also argue that IMO Interstellar is more complicated than Inception. Also, Di Caprio is more popular than McConaughey.

But... Nolan is more popular than ever. So I guess it's a toss up?

I'm curious too on how Paramount will factor with its success.

It's a Nolan film. If the grosses of Inception and The Dark Knight Rises are any indication, people will see a Nolan film regardless. I didn't expect those two films to gross so much. I didn't even think the latter would even cross a billion (without 3D, I might add).

A valid point actually, and if history is anything to go by Mockingjay will also have good word of mouth. I take back what I said as I totally forgot about that movie. I still think Interstellar will do good box office, but I'm less convinced now it will break a billion due to Mockingjay.

I am hoping they move Interstellar to October. That month proved to be a great spot for another high concept sci-fi film, Gravity. I think an extra few weeks before Hunger Games would help a lot. If the film is good, that extra space will give it a better chance to reach its potential.

To what degree to Mocking Jay and Interstellar's audiences intersect? If Catching Fire and Frozen can co-exist then I'd imagine Interstellar and Mocking Jay can as well.

Hunger Games demographic is not like Twilights. It's very diverse and most definitely intersects with Interstellar

Oh they most certainly cross paths. HG has very much shown itself to appeal to an audience well beyond it's young adult readership. There's a maturity in the way the story and the audiences are treated which is something both that series and Nolan's films have in common.

Long legs will keep Interstellar trucking, regardless of Hunger Games.
Both movies will co-exist.
If anything, if it's the same audience, they'll want to see BOTH films. It's not impossible for people to see two movies within two weeks.
Really, the biggest smackdown will be opening weekend. Hunger Games will dominate, and then it will have a HUGE drop the following two weekends, while Interstellar gains a steady pace.

I don't think it'll be a huge drop. It'll be your normal blockbuster film drop. I agree that both films will co exist and rake in the big bucks
