This is as about Spielbergian Nolan can get.

Nice trailer, definitely way better than the teaser. I'm ready for this. I still hate the tagline, "Mankind was born on Earth...It was never meant to die here."

Interesting if not mind blowing, but then is only the first trailer. Not quite as eye catching as Inception say but that might be to the final things benefit.

Epic beard is epic. :funny:

''i've got kids professor''
''get out there and save them''
thats how you do a big scale movie with drama and emotions. kids are the answer. :awesome::up:

i didnt read any spoilers and the script. so if Nolan changed the the son into the daughter does this mean that this is why Chastain was cast?

we have enough experiences with Nolan that when you dont know the name of the characters that they are a big spoiler

This isn't the last trailer.

I don't know about "underwhelming" but it certainly doesn't look as intriguing or good as Inception right now.

Stil meh, on the marketing, I'm sure/hoping that will change.

What I find refreshing about this trailer is that it's more character driven and not your typical BHHHRRRRMM, money shots everywhere type of trailer. The themes are still resonating with me, and it looks like something that will have a lot of heart.

Granted, we may get something more bombastic for the final trailer, but the longer we put that off the better IMO.

I really enjoyed the trailer in IMAX last night before seeing Godzilla, although I was surprised with how knowledgeable Alfred became about space travel in just two short years.

what i feel after watching the trailer is ''important''.

I noticed immediate differences between Hoytema's visuals compared with Wally. Hoytema rarely creates images with one or two color schemes. There is always varying uses of color in every shot, even when they are mundane. While Pfister is almost always inclined to use a singular color palette in a shot unless the story calls for otherwise, making his work very "moody".

The movement of the camera is purely Nolan. The handheld shots during dialogue is something that has been present since Following.
