Agreed. Besides, what helped with actually scaring MJ was the fact that she knew Peter was Spider-Man AND Spidey and Venom had the same costume. She saw the Spidey eyes and thought it was Pete. But then the mask grew a mouth. So while I would love to see this scene in SSM it just wouldn't work.

What would be frikkin' sweet is if Venny encounters Black Cat while she's looking for Spidey, just like in the comics. Something like Cat sees the Venom costume from a distance and thinks it Spidey. I would die of joy if I saw this.

Venom said it because the Symbiote basically told him all the information about Peter Parker, so he knew he was married. He also knew MJ would think it was Peter when she walked in.

Well, seeing how MJ may now be on Brock's hitlist from her connection to Peter he may do it just for the hell of it (shows how far gone he is) and to further mess with Peter.

Since MJ was dating Brock, this line can also work for this situation. It's just taken more literally in this case.

Okay, just some random thought : when I see the preview, I don't understand how Peter could escape all by himself t: . Is it possible that he could be helped by Gwen or Eddie? The two had a chance to look at the symbiote, perharps that in the short time they studied it, they discovered about its weakness to soundwaves? And so could be the ones to ring the bells in the church?

Why? He shows up at MJ and says Honey I'm Home. Peter is not her husband. She does not know he is Spiderman. Peter and MJ are not dating. There is no relevance to Brock showing up at her house. Venom would go right to Peter when he changes.

But Brock dated MJ. He can say that and it would still fit since they hung out before.

Easy, Eddie won't care who does and doesn't know Peter is Spider-Man and just for them anyways to get to Peter. He'll go for MJ because of what she said and to hurt Peter, regardless of whether she knows or not (he won't do it to Gwen because he likes her).
