They have changed the origin a bit since the movies and stuff: Originally, Peter DID get his money and everything and just let the thief go just because he didn't care. Uber-selfish.

I"m loving this episode so far. The flashback of the origin is really cool, a nice blend of movie and comic origin.

I just love how this show pleases fans of the movies and the early comics.

LOL I had to laugh to myself when he realized he was referring to himself as "we".

my mistake, i actually never really read many of the classics, i have a few reprints of a few earlier issues, also i believe i have hulk spidey and lizard spidey issues, the farest back direct edition issue i have is from the 80s that is when he gets the cosmic powers, and the secret wars issue he gets the symboite. I didnt really start collecting untill modern time 2000+

Ahh how nice to see the famous Uncle Ben/Pete in the car talk, in cartoon form.

I always wondered how much liberties they could take from the movies...I mean the comics are a given, but I figured the movies would be a different story.

The Spidey vs. Symbiote memory struggle is brilliant. Finally we get more in-depth of how it affects him and how hard he has to struggle.

I'm ready to watch this episode again......who is getting it online?t:

Indeed, I got a little confused for a second. Issue #200 is where he grows 4 extra arms. I wasn't really thinking about which issue is which when I was posting my review of the the episode.

This episode ROCKED, alot! Every single minute was brilliant, although the flashback kinda slowed things down since it was the movie animated, but it was still awesome the way they used this opportunity to explain Spiderman's start.

The last bit with Spidey/symbiote/Brock got me super pumped for next week's episode. I can't wait to see Venom and Spidey go at it.

This episode was a thousand times better than Venom's arc in the movie.

Okay, that was hands down a very unique episode. Great blend of comics and movies. Love the psychological warfare between sym and Peter. This will go on to be a classic indeed. Also for the first time in history, this is an Eddie I can truly enjoy as Venom.

yea just checked he did write it, and as many are thinking this is probably the episode Josh keaton mentioned in the podcast that was his favorite.

Yea and if u noticed they took more of his "bad" moments then good moments to manipulate his anger towards the spider peter parker.
