Seems to be. Not a lot of enthusiasm outside of that.So the verdict is....At Least It's Better Than S1?
They cast Danny wrong. I know they won't recast at this point, but they messed that up, bad. Watching through the first season a second time, it is even worse then I remember. Everyone else is pretty good to great on the show, but the focal point is just not good. Combined with the general lack of anything Iron Fist about the show and yeah... Its too bad, because everyone else seems pretty great.
I don't doubt Finn Jones is trying, but yeah. I think my love for the character made me a bit too willing to overlook the obvious problems with Jones the first time around. But now that I am past just really wanting it to work, its clear at this point. Especially that while I understand the writing has been a big problem so far, it hasn't been the only problem. Everyone is stuck with crappy writing on Iron Fist. He was the only one not really able to make it work the first go around imo. And I get the choreography is an issue, and not necessarily his fault, but he doesn't look nor carry himself in the manner of a martial arts expert imo.I said this from the beginning too, Finn Jones just wasn't right for the role. Cox, Ritter, Colter and Beranthal all tapped into their characters nearly impeccably and you buy them in their roles. Finn has struggled with the character from the start. BUT, he's trying, he really really is. He was GREAT in that Luke Cage episode and was the first time I bought him as Danny Rand. If we're getting more of that light-hearted, funny, kung fu badass Danny then we're good, if he's still the angsty, bratty, incompetent fighter Danny from IF season 1 and Defenders, we're in trouble.
Part is the showrunner/writers' fault. S2 of Luke Cage proved that Finn can act like Danny should. Also what allot of people do not comprehend, what the writers intended, was his bad chi affecting his mood, which created a whiny negative Danny that took the whole season a step down, that didn't translate to a TV show at all.I said this from the beginning too, Finn Jones just wasn't right for the role. All TV gets reviewed before it's "finished." That's the nature of serialized storytelling. It's not like a movie where it's one sitting, and two hours well-spent or not. It's an ongoing thing, with a much larger time commitment. A show shouldn't have to be seen to the very last episode to determine whether it's worth advising viewers to devote time to it. If it's not worthwhile in the first 6 episodes, why should they advise people to waste 6 hours of their time?
This is good news, considering grace couldn't even finish season 1 and hated it with a passion seen that tweet regarding the whole 10 episodes is a good sign, its my belief if the ratings are low on rotten tomatoes its cause they only seen the first 6 episodes and not the last 4. which is stupid, that they review something that isn't finished.

One warning sign, she always wanted iron fist to be Asian, so its possible that could be happening and dany rand and could be going bye-bye based of that reaction.

Was the entire season provided for reviewers?
I had no idea! Hope it's a big improvement.I must be so out of the loop that I hadn't even realized that this drops tomorrow. I'm still working my way through season two of Luke Cage.
