Is it just me or is the tide of opinion turning on this movie?

fans who already like what they've been seeing are feeling more optimistic because they're seeing that the film is trying to stick to the manga and because the script portrays the high school scenes in a way that doesn't emphasize the drama of a teen.

fans who have been on the fence are starting to become optimistic because they're just glad they're not totally screwing it up (ala Catwoman, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li).

fans who have been disappointed haven't seen anything lately to make them change their minds.





non-fans still don't know about or care for this flick.

I was really suprised when they announced they were a making a Dragonball movie. i just didnt think it would work. Then I kept seeing pictures and I thought umm guess I was right. Then i saw a trailer and I still wasnt convinced. But then I read a review that said it was pretty good and I though ooh thats good. Then is saw the new trailer and was very impressed. Looking forward to it.

so yes, opinions about this film are shifting around, but it's limited to the fan base.

thats not to say i feel the shift across the board, but it's happening.

before the premiere FOX will edit the movie and delete some stuff. yes maybe the pics and footage that you like wont even be in the movie.

that was a rude remark, and sure it's generalizing, but it wouldn't be a generalization if it weren't somewhat true. there seems to be a shift in opinion is because of the recent script leaks and photos that have lots of fans at ease that it's not going to be a bunch of high school drama. non-fans most likely haven't seen these things, therefor their opinions will likely remain unchanged.

People find me rude because I don't take most of what you guys say very seriously, because if it were true than Twlight and Marley and Me wouldn't be 100+ Mil movies and films like Crank and Sin City would be.

The truth is fans don't see what's relevant and what's not relevant, I could have no real care for the opinions of die hard fans, however when I bring up the Dragonball movie people somehow know about it(I'm talkinga bout normal people) and are interested in seeing it, even those who don't know about it after they find out. Then the otherside is the script-leaks everyone talking about. There is a change, sadly, fans or non-fans can't handle that perhaps that change means nothing or that there might be some positive feedback on this film.

Just because there's interest doesn't mean it'll be a hit, there was interest in Snakes on a Plane and the Spirit, I'm just saying there's been a shift.

Perhaps you should read my post Most of the folks on here were being blatantly annoying, hence why I said most, feel free to disagree, and I'll respect it doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Then again most were just being annoying cuz of their own ridiculous hate of the film. i have been exposed to negativety as well as positive reactions, but i really think i should be more respectfull of other's opinions wether they be good or bad.
but my experience has been that since the script review by adam, things are looking up.
