The Dark Knight Is the hotel from BB (possible spoiler)...

hmmm I wonder if he pulls a Riddler and finds the garage and blows the Bat stuff up? I mean we've heard the Tumbler gets destroyed hence why he switches to the Bat-Pod.

Well ...
We also know that the Tumbler blows up during a chase scene. Remember when some folks (rory_bat) were out there in the middle of the night and they shot a scene where the Tumbler bites it? I think it goes bye-bye in action, not sitting in the garage. :cwink:

as a couple of people have already said, i don't think he bought the hotel at all. no matter how rich he is, maybe the owners of the hotel wouldn't sell it no matter what amount he offered them, it might be making them a good steady income, why would they sell it?

he might have written an outrageously high amount on the cheque, but the Maitre D could have just returned it to Bruce when he came back from "swimming", or ripped it up?

i doubt something as trivial as that comedic gesture would be carried over into this movie, but it's a possibility.

and i support the theory that the penthouse is part of Wayne Tower. what if the party is being held in Wayne Tower, and Bruce slips out unnoticed and re-appears as Batman once Joker turns up and starts to cause trouble?

^^ It would make things MUCH easier for him, that's for sure ... having everything on site at a moments notice.

Does Wayne Tower have a penthouse?

who knows? there may be accomodation built into the building, as well as offices and whatnot. it's only a theory, and i personally would like it more than the idea of him setting up base in a hotel he just bought in Begins.

well something kinda like that happens. he takes the whole cast of a ballet out on his yacht which forces them to cancel the show. he doesn't give a sh-t. he just wants to party. he's so awesome.

I think thats so funny too. As if that would ever really happen. I don't think the director and producer of the ballet (actually I think it's an Opera) would like that much. ;)

If that is the case I want a small scene to go like this.

A business man is in the elevator on his way down to the parking garage on the lower level of the hotel. He yawns and is holding his cup of coffee with briefcase in hand. When he reaches the bottom floor he walks to his car. Parked right next to his car (a hybrid) is the Tumbler taking up 4 car spaces.. Then I want him to mumble "Damn hummers..."

P.S. make the business man Al Gore

:lmao:

Yes! And an Al Gore cameo! That would RULE =)

:applaud
Its possible.

I was gonna make a thread on it, but the swagger levels of Bruce Wayne were incredible to pull something like that off. I mean he rolls up to a semi-formal dinner with the board of Wayne Enterprises and there wives in a F-50 with not onen but two European Coke ****es, lets them frolick with each other in the fountain of the restraunt and then proceeds to buy some prestigious five star Hotel that probably had teflon owners and boardmembers like its nothing.:wow:
Lemme find out he used that same hotel as the temporary headquarters for Batman and this dude has got the pimp king swagger like no other hero.:woot:

:LMAO:

Wow I love this thread. Seriously funny stuff.

There needs to be more pimpn' Wayne in TDK =)

The darker the film is, the brighter your comic relief should be.

This thread is great. One clue I wanted to add: the room where we see the Tumbler and Batman's other gear in TDK has the same general layout, height, and lighting (the white ceiling) as the room where he test drove the Tumbler in the basement of Wayne Tower.
I still like the pimp king swagger factor though. :yay:

I disagree mate. The "base" in TDK has dirty walls, low ceiling, concrete/tarmac floor and is very narrow:

the test-drive room in Begins was wide, clean, and had a highly polished floor, and a very high ceiling with spotlights:

completely different.

Thanks for putting that up!

... the same hotel where the penthouse Bruce resides in during TDK while Wayne Manor is being rebuilt located?

First off, sorry if this has been addressed. Just watching BB again and when Bruce buys the hotel after the maitre d' threatens to kick him out, it occured to me that it would be nice in a continunity manner if its the same hotel where Bruce shacks up as rumored in TDK.

Thanks!

To add my two cents.

Very interesting. It could very well be. I honestly do not think that Wayne is living atop Wayne Tower.... that would just be a bit much to store the tumbler, etc there. Having his own hotel, building, whatever would certainly make that easier. But who knows....

Indeed. I would have to agree based on what I saw. After watching the trailer (for the 9 millionth time) I think it could be that the rocket the Joker shoots from the 18-wheeler is what hits the tumbler and causes it to blow. That tumbler explosion shot and the 18-wheeler chase were shot on the same section of lower wacker, so I am guessing the chase starts out with the tumbler.

why is it a bit much to store the tumbler under Wayne Tower? that's where it was stored for all the time before Bruce returned to Gotham.

after all, he does go to Wayne Tower to meet Earle, who then sends him to "the basement" to meet Fox for the first time, who shows him all the gadgets.

Whoops, guess my memory's off. Thanks for posting the comparison!

bruce living in wayne tower looks more plausible because the footage we have seen so far of the joker's truck flipping and then the final scene of the trailer with the batpod slipping all happens in front of the Wayne Tower, so, I think first Batman chases the Joker in batmobile but when that blows up he goes back and returns with the batpod.
