I miss the trunks. He doesn't look like Superman without them.

Lemme just roll my eyes. He looks like Superman, but i digress, that's my opinion.
If you rolled them on the ground you might have to clean them off before you put them back in, you know germs and all.

Well, good-bye trunks. Superman looks more masculine to me now and I'm glad. The suit that was selected is nothing short of amazing, though I'm always interested in seeing other designs. A lot of Superman fans have become way too fixated on minor details. While many will be staring at Superman's groin area and griping about what else they don't like, I'll be enjoying the movie, because the story is more important to me than an article of clothing isn't needed.

That Snyder quote makes me think he tried as hard as he could to find a design that looked better than one without, but just couldn't make it happen. Curious to see what those designs were like though.

And a skintight blue full body suit with a floor length red cape, red boots to the knee, and a huge S on his chest doesn't?

Not inherently. The body suit, cape, boots, and chest emblem have a practicality behind them.

Red briefs are red briefs. Costumey.

I think it's awesome they tried to keep the trunks. I don't think it would have made a bit of difference if they had kept them. If anything, it would have made them cool again. Okay... maybe not cool, but at the very least harmless.

That's what I look like sometimes after I eat Chipotle.

Kidding, pic is badass.

Not kidding.

begins the 1st official sarcastic remark on the trunk-less costume by the public media
http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-...222100414.html

with Yahoo making a bold title "Zack Snyder takes off Superman’s underwear in ‘Man of Steel"

serve you right, WB & Snyder! by making the movie sounds like a porno!

anticipating more and more funny remarks will come.

this movie will not do better than SR.

All these stupid talks about the suit are going to end once we see the trailer.

All of Alex Ross' superheroes look chubby, old and unattractive.

Technically, Ross is brilliant.

It's just that he happens to use a 75 year old homeless guy called Cecil as his facial reference for every character, male and female.

I think at least we'll have something more to talk about other than these endless debates and boring conversations. Lack of news is really disturbing to people here. lol

:woot:

But seriously, Ross is the bomb. At some point I wanna see Burton doing KC with Ross as designer and consultant.

I've always liked how paternal and weathered Ross' Superman design looks. What's most jarring for me though is that while the face and body are uber realistic, the costume is very simple, maintaining fidelity to the classic to a fault, leaving him looking like an old man wearing Superman pajamas. It would do Ross well to spice up the costume with a little bit more detail, personal tweaks, in order to offset the visual gap.
