BvS It's always Darkest before The Dawn... Chris Terrio IS the Script Writer - Part 1

Yeah, I really doubt all Terrio did was polish up the dialogue. There's no way he'd have gotten billing over Goyer and his name been explicitly mentioned by cast members if that was all he did.

Well here's hoping that terrio wrote an amazing script since that was the key issue to man of steel

Goyer wrote the initial script. Terrio rewrote the script but kept the plot points.

just realized affleck will be getting top billing.

anyway, just a guess, but i think terrio probably rewrote the entire script while retaining the plot/structure of goyer's script.

So anyone else think the few lines we got in the trailer were really good? If this is any indication of the quality of dialogue throughout the film, consider me exultant.

I liked the lines in the trailer, as they were really good. My hopes for good dialogue and character work are becoming a reality.

I thought there was good dialogue in Man of Steel...the Pa Kent/ Clark scene "Can't I keep pretending to be your son?" is one of my favorite lines.
also
Lois: Welcome to the planet

I love that line!

Me too, David Goyer and Amy Adams said it was a double meaning welcoming Clark to the Daily Planet and him to the planet Earth.

that's why i love it.
I also remember an interview with Goyer that he drew upon his experiences with adoption for Clark...i dont remember if he's adopted or if he has adopted kids...but that's what went into the childhood Clark scenes

Yeah, I remember this. Goyer did have those experiences with his own step-son I believe of not being the biological father and when things came up, that child giving the "You're not my real dad" type thing. Good to see Goyer put his own life into the script. Those struggles happen with adopted kids or kids with different dads.

I really hope the inclusion of Terrio elevates this film. Though I don't know how much a writer can effect a director.

In snyder's case, a lot.

He's only as good as the script he's given. And I sure hope this is a kick ass script.

Me too. I don't really see Snyder as a terrible director but he does need help in the script department.

Favorite line from MoS is...

RELEASE THE WORLD ENGINE

seriously that line along with the score was f-ing awesome!

Perfect way o ensure a solid blame vs credit ratio...

Do people think the dialogue in mos was worse or better than these Furious films? The last one in particular. Yay or nay.

Personally I find the dialogue in MOS to be kinda boring, sure it sounds epic but Its not what I want to hear from my favorite characters.

I kinda am bummed I missed out on a Kevin Smith written Superman film, I personally would rather hear Superman talk about chocolate covered pretzels than how important he is.

Thats not to say I didnt enjoy MOS its just I want something different I guess. I will still be there opening night

I dont feel the dialogue was as bad as people are making it out to be.

In general the dialogue was OK but there were some cringe worthy lines. Not many, but they were there.

MoS definitely has better dialogue than the Furious films (particularly 7 with it's horrible attempts at humor ala Tyrese). Then again, those movies don't take themselves too seriously.
