If you wanna sort get an essence of Bond , these are the ones I would recommend. I'd try to get them seperately on Amazon though so you don't have to spend alot on alot of the bad ones.

I just caught a few minutes of Casino Royale on TV and was surprised at how much younger Craig looked in it. When I saw Skyfall a few days ago, I noticed something looked different about him and wasn't sure if they were trying to make him look older, beat up and grizzled or if that's just how he looks now.

I just caught a few minutes of Casino Royale on TV and was surprised at how much younger Craig looked in it. When I saw Skyfall a few days ago, I noticed something looked different about him and wasn't sure if they were trying to make him look older, beat up and grizzled or if that's just how he looks now.

Aside from getting older naturally, it was absolutely a deliberate choice in how he was clothed and made up to serve the themes of an aging Bond in the film.

Avoid Diamonds Are Forever, most of Moore's films (I don't give a sh** about camp value or feelings of nostalgia. They were terrible, period.)

The hair definitely made him look different, but what I meant was more in the face. There were several close-up shots where his face, particularly his eyes just looked tired and worn out and I couldn't tell if that was just natural aging or something else. But whatever it was certainly worked.

I love every 007 movie except the one I haven't seen...On Her Majesty's Secret Service...by love I mean enjoy. When it comes to Moore its good fun! But I do prefer Connery and Brosnan.

I recently did a marathon of the 007 movies, watching one a day until it lined up with Skyfall's release last week. I had a lot of fun seeing them all from start to finish, some of which I hadn't done since I was a kid. Finally saw OHMSS which was really good and would of been great if it were Connery since he's the man we're tied to in this role for that emotional pull to work.


While there were some Bond movies that weren't that good I can say there was only one that was truly painful to have to sit through and that was Die Another Day. Brosnan deserved better and man was this just rough to have to go through again. Sure made Casino Royale feel like a breath of fresh air the next day.

You should go out of your way to see On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I think it is one of the very best.

Finally saw OHMSS which was really good and would of been great if it were Connery since he's the man we're tied to in this role for that emotional pull to work.

While I think it would definitely have been interesting to see Connery in OHMSS, I think Lazenby really works in it for the tone of the movie.

I also think Lazenby and Diana Rigg have good chemistry, not sure how that would have come across with Connery.

It took me about half hour to get used to a new Bond during my marathon but I quickly took a big liking to Lazenby, my only issue is the story from OHMSS isn't a good one to introduce a new Bond. We're suppose to feel conncected to this man we've been through five major journey's with when suddenly it's a new man behind the character.

I agree on their chemistry together was good, but who knows what route they would of taken with the female lead had Connery been coming back.

I've said this before, but I think there are two great what if's that could have happened in Bond movies that would have made the movies better. What if Sean Connery was in OHMSS and what if Blofeld had remained the main villain in The Spy Who Loved Me?

There's also "What if Dalton was in Goldeneye" but I don't know for sure if it would have been better or worse. I believe that the formers both would have made the movie even better.

I have a feeling OHMSS would of been much different if Connery was in it.

And I would of loved to see Dalton in Goldeneye. Even though his aren't the best, I think he was a pretty awesome Bond and would of loved to see him do more.

I'm not doubting if it would be good, but I just personally doubt if it would be more awesome than the Goldeneye we got considering that the original version of Goldeneye (or Property of a Lady) was much different.

Great movie I got this Friday and I now see why people have said it is the best Bond film ever and I have to agree.

London is plastered with SKYFALL dvd/blu ray promotions everywhere! Seriously, I havn't seen hype like this for any dvd/blu ray release, hell most movies getting a cinematc release don't get this sort of hype.

What stops OHMSS from being truly great IS George Lazenby. He's just not very good and his emotions at the end are false. If we had an actor as great as Daniel Craig for that end scene (like the end of Casino Royale), it would be an all-time classic. But Lazenby really pulls the film down. Even he admits he wasn't an actor. He was chosen because of his look.

What are you talking about? His emotions at the end when Tracy dies is what most people give him praise for other than his action scenes, in fact, it's widely regarded as one of the best scenes in the entire series.

Finally, saw Skyfall. Amazing!...If not the Best Bond of all, it for sure ranks as one of the Best. Definitely in my Top 5.
