Ya I get that I just saying even if the film is its own thing. Tossing a nod or two to events of cr/qos could happen and not screw with film being its own thing.

I agree that it wouldn't but I wouldn't hold my breath based on comments by Craig and Mendes. I do hope Quantum shows up in a future film tho. I'd like to see a formidable quantum agent hell bent on tearing **** up. Greene just didn't have enough umph for my tastes.

I think Quantum of Solace is under-appreciated. Granted, asking your audience to remember every plot point of the previous film is not something you want to do, especially not in a James Bond film, but I found that if you watch Quantum of Solace right after Casino Royale it actual works really well (the last act and that exploding hydrogen hotel set piece is still disappointing)
Anyway, with that said, I really, really hope they don't abandon the idea of Quantum just because QOS underperformed and didn't live up to Casino. I loved the idea of them and they seemed like such a perfect contemporary iteration of Spectre and SMERSH.

I think if this film isn't actually going to involve Quantum, they should at least be referenced so the audience wont completely lose track of that plot thread should they decide to revisit it.

Goldfinger did not feature SPECTRE. Quantum is set up and they can be returned to at any time, really.

I guess we will just have to wait and see once the film comes out. Producers/directors/actors may say one one thing, and once we get film its different then what they say. Still I don't see why a nod or two to cr/qos can't happen while skyfall is its own thing.

I think it was pretty much confirmed this movie will have nothing to do with QoS and really I'm fine with that. Quantum can always be a thread revisited later on.

It was said at the giant press release they had. Quantum won't be in this.

Those last set pics look better than the official still.Bond shouldn't have a bread.I can let It slide If It IS a plot devolpment like Bond being captured In Die ANother Day.
