James Bond In Skyfall - Part 6

I doubt it too. The first thought that came to my mind was the agent definition of it. AnneFan, no offense, guessing you're a girl? All us guys, or most guys, know is Victoria's Secret lmaol. So kinda doubt they'd have something that'd go over our heads... unless I'm one of the few who don't know those sorts of things...

FAVORITE LINE:

“Someone is coming to kill us. We’re going to kill them first.”

It could go over people's heads, but it can be read that way as well IMO. I think it's in the subtle style of "that last hand nearly killed me", etc. And Craig's comment of "comedy in Bond films, for me, comes out of the situations people get into." It's just an observation that I had. Ironic that there's a lingerie company called that though right? :oldrazz:

Maybe but just the tone of the rest of that dialogue does not seem to point that way. It seems more, of a dark kind of scene.

Agent Provocateur is a British lingerie retailer founded in 1994 by Joseph Corré and Serena Rees.

What nationality is Bond?

I find the murder - employment line humorous.

Maybe but again I really don't think so, the agent and provocateur goes together, and yea, I'm almost betting 99% that is not what was meant. But whatever it's a moot point.

Bond's nationality may be that. But you have to remember this film isn't just for the UK. Even more of a reason why it would go over people's heads. Also unsure how many UK guys would get it.... UNLESS (I'm unsure) it's the UK version of 'Victoria's Secret' in that a guy would have live under a rock to have never heard of it lol. IF that, then - yeah - maybe it does have a double meaning. Trying to get a response out of the interrogator.

But whatever it's a moot point.

Yep. Let's not blow this out of proportion. As I said, it's just an observation that I had. Not laugh out loud stuff, but I think it could be read that way by some people, even if it's not meant to be a double entendre.

Tonight was Sony Pictures' chance to shine at CinemaCon with an impressive 45-minute sizzle reel of their upcoming 2012 line-up with the high point being the first time anyone had a chance to see any footage from the upcoming James Bond movie SkyFall, in this case the very first teaser trailer. Before we got to watch it, Sony's President of Worldwide Distribution Rory Bruer talked about Sony's slate for 2013 and beyond and confirmed that James Bond would indeed be back in 2014 with the 24th movie in the franchise and the follow-up to 'Skyfall'

pretty sure the "provocateur" line was supposed to be a bit of a joke, as some were saying.

Imo, the provocatuer line, as well as the employment line (perhaps to a lesser extent) will depend on Craig's delivery to be humorous or dark.

Follow up to Skyfall, do they mean a direct sequel like Quantum of Solace was or as in just another one off adventure ?

Makes sense.

Edit: Im wondering if they have any potential directors lined up? I'd love to see Danny Boyle take a crack at Bond..

I hope Mendes comes back.

Anyway, my thoughts on the word association test Bond was subjected to; when the interviewer says, skyfall and Bond doesn't answer and when he finally does answer with, done. I get the impression he's not responding to the question but reacting to the interview process in general as in, he's done with this interview and leaves. Bond isn't some lab rat.

I'd doubt Mendes would come back. or at least, back to back.

I think EON is a lot more mindful on how they pick for the next Bond outing and I wouldn't' be shocked if they did try to get Nolan or Boyle for the 24th film.

If EON were smart, they'd try and get Mendes locked in for Bond 24. The man knows his stuff. At the press conference in November and reading his comments in the latest Empire magazine, the man knows what he's doing and how to cast his team players. With Bond 24 already locked in for 2014, it's not unsurprising if Babs and Mike tried to get Mendes to take on Bond 24 also, especially as production and the hype for this movie has gone extremely well thus far.
The producers also tried to get Campbell to direct QoS but he didn't want to do it and with the way things are looking and with the relationship EON has with Mendes, it will be bizarre to say the least if Mendes isn't approached to direct Bond 24. Hell, imo if Mendes doesn't direct Bond 24 it would be because he doesn't want to or has other commitments, either way, I'm just glad Bond 24 will be here in 2 years and hope to God almighty that Purvis/Wade and who ever else is gonna write it start working on a script asap.

EON needs to get away from Purvis/Wade. They're relics. Not only that, most of Casino Royale's success was based on a number of factors: It's based on a novel, Paul Haggis, and Martin Campbell.

Well the thing with Campbell is that he doesn't want to do two Bond films back to back, back in the 90s they asked him to do Tomorrow Never Dies, but he refused for the same reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if he did return to the series at some point.

If Nolan does direct, I want a second unit director also.

speak for yourself mate Agent Provocateur is a very well known lingerie company, I had a poster of 4 of their models on my wall when I was 14 or so - I'm sure it was written as a double entendre on purpose

It's clearly a tongue in cheek reference to the lingerie company. Its Bond, come on! Who if not him would think about THAT in a situation like that :007
