No idea, I'm afraid. But Another Way to Die was a bolder choice for a Bond song.
Yeah like I said its a decent song that would have been a lot better with just one singer. I still prefer You Know My Name though...
That song feels too stale.

I agree, it feels like its trying to hard too be a classic Bond song.

Oh, me too. I'm trying to think of a top 5 now and it's pretty hard. My faverote has to be OHMSS.

I'm not sure what order to put them in but my top 5 Bond themes would be......

Live and Let Die
You Know My Name
The Living Daylights
A View To A Kill
Nobody Does It Better

I agree with the middle 3, I'd add the aforementioned OHMSS and for no5... Goldeneye.

No Bassey in your list? No OHMSS or FRWL theme? Interesting choices. From your list, I'm big fans of YKMN, TLD and AVTAK.

I assume you were referring to The Englishman, Ajendo? OHMSS is on my list.

My top 5 Bond themes:

1. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
2. Live and Let Die
3. A View to a Kill
4. Nobody Does it Better (The Spy Who Loved Me)
5. Goldfinger/You Only Live Twice

Honorable Mention: You Know My Name (Casino Royale), Goldeneye, Thunderball

I actually dislike The Living Daylight theme song, mostly because the first few times I heard it, I had no idea what the hell they were saying. The Man With The Golden Gun is pretty

I definitely agree. I think two singers really hurt the song, and it was two singers with voices who both sound too weak (just saying they sound weak, not that their voices are weaak) to sing.

I didn't like Duran Durans A View To A Kill at all. Each to there own though.

To me, the theme song and Christopher Walken were the only two good things about it.

Same here. Though I thought Grace Jones was hilarious as MayDay. Especially when she bedded Bond. She had more muscles than Moore.

I think I prefer Another Way To Die, who is singing that track?

And I don't like the QOS track by Jack White and Alicia Keys. That scat thing Alicia does midway was TERRIBLE

Horribly out of tune

Whatever they choose for "Skyfall" I can't wait to see the audience reaction to the song. It's sort of a lost art to do song titles nowadays.

I only remember "The girl with the dragon tattoo" doing an opening song title.

I feared for old Rog in that moment.

Same here. This my reaction to the whole scene.

Good thing they didn't actually have him do a sex scene. He wouldn't had made it through. :funny:

I heard the scenery sued Walken for assault.

Walken wasn't bad in it. He was definitely one of the more entertaining guys in it.

:fu:

Well it wouldn't be 010, 011, etc because they would not be 00's then would they....I'm sure I remember someone mentioning that the photo of the dead man that Bond shows to the banker at the Spanish bank at the start of TWINE is suppose to be 0013 ?

Yes it does go 0010, 0011, 0012, 0013, 0014. 0011 and Bond share an office and a secretary. He's missing on mission for most of MR and Bond is very concerned about him throughout the novel.

I read that they had to use lots of body/stunt doubles for Moore while filming AVTAK. He was 57 at the time and since the crew/producers loved him they kept him on for that film.

It's funny how 57 back then was old, but we have Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and others still doing action films and their own stunts.

Well, Stallone and Schwarzenegger are in much better shape than Moore. And Ford had less plastic surgery. :funny:

Yes I like Basseys Goldfinger and DAF and I like the themes from OHMSS and YOLT but I just love the more rockier ones....

Yes I've read Moonraker it's a great novel. Loelia Ponsonby is his shared secretary I remember....

Personally I liked the songs for cr and qos. Also great to hear titles is getting worked on.

I haven't seen any of the old one's. Well I caught parts of the one where Bond is fighting that one giant dude with the shark teeth.

Casino Royale and Goldeneye are two of my favorites though. Can't wait to see this one.

I agree with what others have said about this, but I'd also add that Bond is more or less supposed to be ageless. That's why it got too weird for me with Moore in OP and AVTAK.

I admit it's a bad part, but it got cut for the title sequence. That edit was much much better, it had great flow.

Moore look like he should be reaching for his pipe and slippers in AVTAK. Miss Moneypenny looked too old for the role, too. Though she had been since Moonraker. Bless Lois Maxwell, she's still the definitive Moneypenny, but she stayed too long in the role.
