They mention him being born in the Bond family home. So if you go by Young Bond - Silverfin, it's the home in Scotland where his Aunt Charmain, Uncle Max (his father's 2 siblings) and houskeeper May at that point live. Till they die and May moves to London with him.

I don't know how this affects Skyfall though because though the family had money it was a much smaller country house whenever it showed up in the Young Bond series.

The young Bond novels are excellent reads. Higson was amazing and he'd be perfect to write adult Bond. He really gets Bond. All the young Bond novels are pretty epic and for me, it's hard to pick a favorite. They're all that good. Double or Die is probably the most grittiest though, with most of the story set in the east end of London.

Skyfall is still a bad name. They could have gone with Shatterhand, Risico, Beyond The Ice or anything.

Even EoN - Everything or Nothing - would have been better.

The first one is a villain from Fleming's books, the second is a title of an actual Bond story. That makes them worth so much more than lousy Skyfall.

It certainly isn't catchy and is more then a bit convoluted.

The title Quantum of Solace is the best thing about the film Quantum of Solace. Too bad the rest of the film didn't live up to its name.
In fact, it's just the kind of strange title a Bond film should have. Just look at the others with Fleming-based titles in the franchise, and Quantum of Solace fits right in with them.
