Radiohead is pretty much my favorite band ever, but I'd honestly prefer Adele for the theme song. Her voice was made for a Bond theme, imo.

LOVED this teaser trailer, btw.

Filming: Done.

I have gleaned some possible big information about Skyfall and I'm inclined to believe it:

In the PTS, a Turkish businessman is given a box with a scorpion in it (which presumably stings him when he opens it) - In one of the newspaper reports the production team were said to be buying props from a shop in Turkey, and one of them was a coffee box that they said a scorpion was going to be put in.

Silva hacks into M's computer, locks out the safety protocols and turns on the gas. MI6 is blown up.

The Bond/Q relationship will still be one of humour.

Severine meets her end by Silva's gun in the chest, at his island.

On Silva's island there is a chase which ends with Silva and Bond falling into a pit infested with huge rats crawling all over them.
We'll just have to wait and I see if it's true I guess. But it all sounds fantastic to me.

They are going to [BLACKOUT]kill another Bond girl[/BLACKOUT]. Seriously?

Yeah, looks like it. She is a girl and in a Bond movie, but Eve is the main Bond girl for this movie. Severine has ties to Silva.

Hashima Island would make sense as the location for an off-the-books secret prison, if Silva is being held covertly, having been betrayed by M and MI6.

The circumstances of the betrayal might lead to some sympathy towards the "villain", which could be an interesting dynamic. Bardem did say '"who says a villain is a bad person?"

SHH had information about the abandoned island in their report:

Next, we walked through the Pinewood backlot where they had built an abandoned ghost town, which is meant to be a part of Hashima Island in Japan, the location where Bond first meets Silva in the movie, though we weren't told what the context of that meeting was. Again, mysteries, mysteries… The entire complex was made to look like it was concrete, mostly crumbling with rubble everywhere and the multi-paneled glass windows had many of their panes smashed in. As we walked through the empty streets, we came upon a town square in a similar state of destruction with a giant statue of some Japanese emperor or other guarding over it, though its head and torso had already been pulled down, either by the townspeople or by whatever drove them out of town. They were ready to tear this set down and they had already pulled out all of the set dressing and props that littered the streets behind the set - rusted shopping carts and bicycles, signs that used to adorn the doorways.

Wait...

when did Eve become the main Bond girl? They have made it look like it was Severine. Eve isn't even attractive, much less hot. Major downgrade over the last two films.

Severine has ties to Silva, and Marlohe likes expressing her love for femme fatales like Famke's Xenia.

I still think Eve's going to turn out to be Moneypenny, regardless of what Naomi Harris and the production team say.

Harris is a very good actress. I'm up for it. But yeah, all will be revealed in November.

I've liked Harris ever since 28 Days Later. She'd seem like an interesting choice for Moneypenny.

I wanted Rosamund Pike for Moneypenny. They really short changed her in DAD.

Naomie Harris not attractive? In what universe!? She may not be everyone's type but she is a pretty woman.

She does nothing for me and I don't find her conventionally pretty, and she was terrible in Pirates.

She was far from terrible in pirates imo. Hayden in the the star wars prequels is a terrible performance. Naomie in Pirates was not. While DMC and AWE had problems the cast was never one of them. What does her in Pirates have to do with anything tho? This is a different film, genre, director etc. Its an entirely different role in every way so her character in Pirates and even her performance is a poor comparison against her in Skyfall.

It's very interesting how silhouettes are the prevailing visual motif in the cinematography. We know this film will deal with M's shady past and its consequences. We first see silhouettes of M and Fiennes watching Bond's evaluation from the flanks; these authority figures are always more in the know and give off the aura that they are hiding immense secrets of the present and more importantly, the past. Bond's smirk deforms into seriousness as he is asked to associate the word Skyfall, we then see a silhouetted Bond approaching a dead man on a sofa. It immediately sparks intrigue. His face seems to bring to mind things he thought he would never have to think about; things about the past. "Done", utters bond with almost a scorn, and as he makes walks back to wherever there are a few frames where he is silhouetted right at the center of the frame with Fiennes and M on each side. The unity of the silhouettes suggests that Bond is intimately aware of this mysterious Skyfall operation as are his superiors. The teasers most explosive shot is that of the supposed villain in silhouette walking towards a burning mansion. Again, the silhouette symbolizing ghosts of the past ties into what we have so far heard about this film. This mysterious foe's silhouette is also sketched with the most definition thanks to a stark contrast to its hellish background. Last but not least, the teaser's most interesting shot (to me), of Bond walking towards the frame first in silhouette and into light illuminating his face framing very succinctly the thematic bridge of the film. Bond, and M and the MI6 will have to confront and answer for the sins of the past.

The notion that Naomie Harris is "not pretty enough" to be Moneypenny is straight-up hilarious to me.

Moneypenny through the years:

And now we're faced with this monstrosity:

Yeah I was going to mention that before. It's not like she looked that great before anyway :p

Naomie is easily the prettiest Moneypenny if she turns out to be Moneypenny.
